we went with a well known italy specialist company had transfer from pisa airport just over an hour from airport. hotel just around corner from santa maria novella. train station also just a 5 min walk from hotel. we found the area central and easy to get to all the atrractions of florence. the staff were very helpful and pleasant... more

Lovely hotel with great location! The staff was great and contributed to a romantic stay. Our room was beautifully decorated and had a bottle of champagne and some candy to celebrate our anniversary! Very good indication of a restaurant and nice view of Santa Maria Novella! more

Excellent hotel in central location within walking distance to all main attractions also close to bus and rail stations. .Hotel was spotlessly clean. Our room was large ,very comfortable and with a lovely bathroom. Staff were always courteous, helpful and friendly. We would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to anyone. We found the Hotel Alba Palace a great location to base our 4 day stay in Florence out of. The hotel and rooms were very clean and well kept. chose it after my usual tripadvisor studies, location was great considering it's close to the train station and given that florence is small, one can easily walk to all the main spots. Cannot give this hotel a rave review. Well located, rooms as expected for 3 star hotel. Biggest issue was with the staff--constantly rotating and not very helpful. Would try another hotel next time in Florence. Previously stayed at the Orto de Medici in 2008 and while not as well located, staff there was wonderful and went out of their way... more

The Alba Palace, although not palatial, was a great three star hotel in a terrific location. A block and a half from the Central train station, and within walking distance to everything (Florence is a very small city and quite easy to navigate).
