Would just like to say a big thank you to all the staff in Alba for making my wife's 50 the birthday a special one we enjoyed complimentary bottle of red wine. I would definitely recommend this hotel great location close to Santa Maria novella church which was stunning and close to train station . Cannot find any faults with... More

I was looking for a good spot close to Santa Maria de Novela. This is a nice and affordable hotel just a few minutes walking distance from the station. The hotel is very original with a very Italian decoration. The covered patio allows is also the breakfast room. Room has enough space, large flat screen and rather small bath room... More

This hotel is amazing with a lot of character, the location was a 2 minute walk from Santa Maria Novella station, walking distance to all the sites & museums. The staff is very helpful, breakfast had a good choice including fresh fruits & juices. The accommodation was spacious we were 3 people but the bathroom was a bit on the... More

Hotel is very close to Santa Maria Station and all other sights are within walking distance. There are plenty of restuarants nearby. Check in was easy and the staff friendly. We had a twin room which was big enough and quiet considering the busy street. The room was clean and was kept that way by housekeeping. We got new towels... More

The hotel is nice. Very nice and clean. Buffet breakfast is included. Very friendly and helpful staff. Classic kinda modern hotel. A very accessible location such as the metro, shops, restaurants, cafeterias and very beautiful buildings around the area. Will definitely recommend to our friends and to everyone who wants a nice and comfortable respite for a holiday in Firenze.😊😍

Very nice hotel close to everything. 5 minutes from Santa Maria Novella train station and 10 minutes from Duomo, in quiet street. I had single room - small, but for sure there was everything needed, clean and bright. The front door of the room opens to the patio balcony. I slept as a baby. Breakfast rich enough for three star... More

This was a great stay. The location is perfect for visiting downtown Florence and is very conveniently located, two blocks from the train station. We had a family room for 4, with an attic that had one of the two queen size beds. Very nice, spacious room with high ceiling. The hotel has a very small, intimate feel to it,... More

Was a little skeptical when we got there, but this hotel turned out to be quite a find for 3 stars. The rooms were clean, quiet and comfortable. The staff were quite accommodating and their breakfast was wonderful. They even had juice and water and little pastries on their bar all day long for their guests, who does that, no... More

We had a great stay at this hotel. It was a short walk from the train station, yet once that door closed, the busy city was outside. My husband and I stayed in a large room (quite unexpected), it was clean and quiet, and we had a wonderful breakfast each morning. We loved that there was a refreshment bar open... More

Staying in Santa Maria Novella

Neighborhood Profile
Santa Maria Novella
Santa Maria Novella train station welcomes the majority of the people arriving in Florence, which might explain the hectic pace. Commuters and tourists come across the constant hustle and bustle of the station before exiting, taking a few steps and stopping amazed in Piazza di Santa Maria Novella. It is impossible not to admire the the square, housing one of the most charming basilicas in Florence. The area has plenty of local spots to taste Tuscan specialties, but don’t stop in the main streets alone; the narrower side streets always ensure satisfaction. The huge Parco Delle Cascine provides a solution to the need for a green area as well as a historic welcome in the form of a bronze statue of King Vittorio Emanuele II riding a horse.
