I returned again in December to Florence to visit my daughter and again booked the wonderful Hotel Arizona. When I arrived, Aldo and Danieli greeted me so warmly that I felt I was in my Italian home away from home. I was even assigned the same room I had a year ago-- Room 29--so it truly was familiar. This year... More

Stayed for two nights and was pleasantly rewarded with a charming, warm, friendly, quiet hotel! Breakfast was standard European Continental, well stocked and attended by staff. Single room was perfectly clean and maintained. Location was approx. 8 min walk to Duomo - and other main attractions. Bus is very close by for easy access to train station. The fresco ceilings... We were 1 of 3 couple that stayed at the Arizona. The price was very good for the time of year, and it was only about a 10 minute walk to the Duomo. Its a bit farther to get to the shopping district, but you can always jump in a cab, only a few Euro. The rooms had all your... More

Great little hotel in a convenient location in Florence. We stayed there for 3 nights at Hotel Arizona and really liked it. We were within walking distance of the Duomo, etc. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful, giving us good instructions and helping us with restaurant reservations. The room was a quad room that was cozy but fine.... More

Overall, I liked the hotel's location, rooms and breakfast. The staff seemed very friendly, but didn't want to and/or couldn't honor the terms of agreement. The summary on hotels.com and other sites stated complimentary parking and internet. They attemped to charge me for both. For starters, there was no internet access in my room as advertised, no big deal, I'll... More

Dear Sir, we apologise for all this misunderstanding but as you can see on hotel.com there is not write that Internet access and Garage are complimentary. Perhaps you confuse if with other offers that we made with internet access and garage included, but this are not available through hotel.com. When you checked it on our computer, you show to my... The hotel is perfect for observant Jewish travelers - it's on the same street as the famous Florence Jewish synagogue (the one with the big dome that you see in pictures of the skyline), a kosher restaurant, a Chabad Lubavitch center and a very small kosher grocery store. The hotel itself also offers kosher meals for groups of a certain... More

Dear Sir/Madam, as you wrote, when we refurbished our hotel we decided to use normal keys for observant Jewish travelers that as you know are not able to use electronic keycards on Shabat. The only way to know when our guest are in their rooms is leaving the key at the reception so we do not disturb them for make... More

The Hotel Arizona is located in a relatively central location we found we could walk everywhere from the hotel and found the walk back from restaurants at night to be quite charming through the narrow Florence streets. (A map might be a good idea until get bearings!) The road outside was quite busy though not a main road by any... More

This hotel was very comfortable. Freindly Staff. I stayed here for 3 nights and found the room to be very comfortable. Shower was fine and everything was clean. My only problem with this hotel was that I asked for a no smoking room, but there was a very strong smell of smoke in there. I am not sure whether it... More

Dear SIr, all our hotel is no smoking but sometimes happen that impolite people smoke in their rooms without thinking about people like you and me that hate smoke. We use a lot of neutralising spray but as you told is very difficult to neutralise smoke smell. Anyway we try to do our best and even better in future about... More

This is a nice hotel, rooms are nicely decorated, in a central but quiet location, with a nice breakfast room and polite people. The toilet is quite small but it is new, nice and clean.I would recommend this hotel.

We stayed at the Arizona Hotel in the early summer of 2004. How funny to travel from the US to Italy and stay in Arizona! The room had a frescoed ceiling; the fact that we were down the street from the statue of David was just a bonus. We were charmed by the little restaurant where breakfast was served as... More
