I came to Florence with my son and we couldn't be treated better. The staff was pleasant kind and helpful. The hotel is extremely well decorated and we loved getting lost in its decoratuions. I spent hours enjoying its atmosphere, music and design. It's a very elegant hotel from its decorations, to the rooms and even the breakfast was extremely... More

HATED this hotel. Established in 1881 and thats probably when they got their 4 stars because this hotel is more like a 2 star than 4. They seem to have renovated their rooms in the last few years or so but they seem to have forgotten to refurbish the bathrooms as well in their "standard" rooms. Maybe it costs too... More

Location- great: it is close to train station, Duomo, Central Market, Accademia, Uffizi, all the bridges, and right next to the hotel it's great restaurant Fuoco Matto. Staff: The people from reception are great, they are very very helpful, they recommend us places to eat, tours. Cleaning: It could be better. We had every day clean towels, clean bathroom and... We spent three days in Florence and stayed at Hotel Cellai last week. First of all, the location is incredible. It's a 5-10 minute walk from all of the Renaissance sights (including the Duomo), and it's only about 5 minutes from the Central Market (which is a great place to have lunch). Hotel Cellai has a LOT of character: the... More

We stayed at the Hotel Cellai for three nights this month and we loved the hotel! It was a great location - close to the Accademia and the train station and an easy walk to the city center. The staff was friendly and helpful, the room was larger than expected and quite comfortable and quiet. There were lovely sitting areas... More

My wife and I stayed at the hotel Cellai for 3 nights as a base to explore beautiful Florence. The hotel had everything you needed for a short break; staff were friendly and helpful, the rooms were comfortable, breakfast was adequate and the honesty bar provided an added option to have a drink on the roof terrace or in one... Staying in San Lorenzo

Neighborhood Profile
San Lorenzo
San Lorenzo’s lively merchants shout out from behind stalls with an array of products in one of the most traditional neighborhoods in Florence. Different ethnic groups join together in the large outdoor market of San Lorenzo and in the Central Market, a vast multi-floored building. Visitors are bound to fall in love with this area and in particular, with its variety of food, especially those focusing on Florentine dishes as well as international selections. Nobody leaves San Lorenzo without a shopping bag in hand or with an empty stomach.
