I chose this hotel primarily due to its proximity to the train station (less than ten minute walk). It proved to be much more! The room was clean and modern, the staff extremely cordial, and the free breakfast very good. We were able to walk to all the major sights in 20 minutes or less. Absolutely no complaints. more

The lobby doesn't look like anything but for the price this is a good central choice. The rooms have a modern updated look. Small breakfast area with a bit of a view. Doesn't have a lot of Florentine character but if you are out sightseeing all the time then save money and stay here. Staff a bit grumpy and uncommunicative. more

Excellent location and good rooms but very noisy as right on bus route and busy road. Unable to keep windows closed as air con was not available; only heating!! The Hotel Laurus is within site of the Duomo in Florence and perfectly located for walking around the city.
