Reviews Summary
This summary was created by AI, based on recent reviews.

The Hotel Paris is celebrated for its immaculate rooms and commendable housekeeping, but some guests suggest the bathrooms could use modernization. The expansive, feature-rich rooms are a hit, though a few reviews mention dated elements and comfort issues. While opinions on value diverge, citing extra costs versus the hotel's allure and prime location, the amenities, including a charming terrace and complimentary hot drinks, receive positive mentions. The hotel's historic atmosphere, accentuated by a grand staircase and antique decor, enchants visitors, as does the exemplary service from the friendly and professional staff. Its central location is perfect for exploring nearby attractions.

We went there for our honeymoon; Florence was our second stop after Rome. I rarely write reviews, but I really wanted to share my opinion on this hotel because it really left an impression on both our Italy and honeymoon experiences. This hotel had once been a castle or aristocrat residence or something, and the owners kept the original architecture, so it’s a hotel with character. For those looking for historical charm, staying at this hotel is an experience by itself, so it's definitely not the choice for those who enjoy modern hotels. Our original reservation was for a double superior room, but because we stated in the reservation we are honeymooners, they were nice and thoughtful to give us a complimentary room upgrade. The reception and staff were really friendly and

This hotel was great, especially for the price. It was well decorated, with large, clean rooms, really charming. All the staff were very friendly and helpful, they even remembered our room number when we returned to the hotel and got the key out before we had to ask....perhaps my struggle through the Italian the first time was memorable. Breakfast had a good selection, including fresh fruit and cappuccinos made by the breakfast room attendants. Location was convenient, close to main sites and train station. Would highly recommend this hotel and would definitely return here.

Nice traditional hotel right in the centre of Florence, two minute walk to the Duomo and the same from Santa Maria Novello Train Station. Rooms are large and very clean, comfortable beds and nice bathroom. Breakfast was very fresh with a good selection. The staff are very friendly and happy to speak English if needed. It was my wifes birthday on our 2nd night and the hotel delivered a complimentary bottle of champagne to our room, which was a very nice touch, especially as I never told them it was her birthday! Bottom line, for a nice pleasant stay in the centre of Florence, go stay here. p.s Keep in mind the local tax, £3 per person/per night.

Brilliant stay at Hotel Paris. The whole feel of the hotel is what some people would decribe as 'old', personnally i thought it was great to stay somewhere in Florence which makes you feel like your in italy, instead of a Travelodge that could be in italy or could be termeral 5 at Heathrow. The hotel has many original features and high ceilings giving you the feeling of space. The hotel is in a central location to most of the tourist attactions and also the train station. Rooms are cleaned daily with fresh towels every day and fresh sheets every other. Staff are very helpfull and knowledgable of the local area, if you get stuck with something. Breakfast is included and more than does the job, remember where you are to those of the complaining on here about the breakfast, it's

I wasn't sure what to expect as this was a three star but i was very pleasantly surprised. The hotel is extremely close to the train station and the duomo and we could see the duomo from our room through a nice big window. Everything was clean and the room had an amazing high ceiling. Beds were comfy and bathroom was modern and clean -- bathroom and cleanliness were my biggest concerns so i was happy on both fronts. Staff were very nice, breakfast and breakfast room were good. The hotel has a lot of character with large staircases etc. I stayed there for 4 nights with my two daughters and we had a great time. Was easy to walk everywhere from there and area was nice.

My partner and I stayed in that hotel for 10 days. Located in the heart of Florence's highlights (Duomo is three streets from the hotel and Piazza Santa Maria Novella is just around the corner), you are a few minutes away from everything. The room was very confortable, clean, with a very nice view (we had 2 windows). Bathroom was nice and functionnal. We had fresh towels everyday. A/C was also functionnal and very powerful. Continental breakfast is included. Located in a big room on the first floor, you will first notice the astonishing painted ceiling from the Renaissance era. Breakfast is fullfilling: cereals, pastries, toasts, fruits, yogurt, ham, cheese. There is an automatic coffee maker available for your morning coffee but you can ask the friendly breakfast staff to

Don't stay here if you expect it to be hot in Florence. We never got the temperature in our room below 86 degrees! The staff did give is a fan, which made it just bearable, but for what we were paying, that is not acceptable. Also, the breakfast was not very good, and the coffee (espresso) was the worst we had in Italy. Again, the people working in the hotel were very friendly and accomoding. I don't think I would stay here again. Our son found a place around the corner for half the price, with much better air conditioning. (OK, it lacked the speaciousness of our 30 degree Celcius room....)

This was the 2nd time I'd stayed in this hotel over a 2 year period. The hotel is of a grand style - very old fashioned grand if you know what I mean. lovely wide staircases with red carpets, large mirrors in the hallways. Both rooms I stayed in have been large, no noise from the street, beds comfortable, bathrooms fully equipped. The artwork on the breakfast room ceiling is beautiful and the breakfast is typical of the italian style, cold meats, chees, yoghurts, cereals, breads, fruit croissants, coffee machine fruit juices etc - all good. Free wifi although I could only get good reception if I sat next to the PC with the wifi modem. The hotel is a 5 minute walk from the station and within walking distance to everything you'll want to see in Florence.

I booked this on the recommendation of an italian travel specialist. I did not look at any other hotels as it would probably have taken a large amount of time, which I don't have in my life quite frankly! So I took a gamble. And it kind of paid off! Firstly,It is a five minute walk from the train station - perfect. Hotel Paris is a hotel of a certain charm. It initially appears quite well kept, the reception and corridors are very well maintained. The rooms, however are at best described shabby chic and thats taking an optimistic view on it! The furniture is almost cobbled together, as in different pieces, nothing really matches. I am not sure if this is intentional or because it is furnished basically! The superior room was very big, the ceiling being about 20 feet up.

Very conveniently situated for all the 'must-sees' - extremely well situated for the train station and the Duomo. Reception staff always pleasant and friendly..... they appeared to want guests to enjoy the stay in Florence. My room was spacious - very clean, minimally furnished but more than adequate. The en-suite bathroom was bright and fresh. The air-conditioning was very effective and it needed to be - the city was having a particularly hot spell. Although my room looked out over the street, there was no disturbance from traffic. I was disappointed that there was a charge of 8 euros for 24 hour WiFi, but this is only included when a booking is made directly with the hotel. If you book via an agent WiFi is not free, nor is the water in the mini-bar. So compare
