I created an account to warn people against this place. I never write bad reviews, but I cannot for the life of me understand why there are so many good ones for this hotel. The furniture is tacky, there is a gross smell and worst of all the staff is rude and useless. Any request or minor problem was considered... More

Stayed in hotel Paris for one night last week and what an amazing stay! All I can say is Wow! We were upgraded on arrival to the presidential Suite and it was the best room I have ever stayed in! Huge wooden double doors on entry, large king size bed with canopy, original fireplace and stone washbasin dating to 1500s,stunningly... More

We had our 2 teens with us and stayed in 2 rooms. The rooms were European/small but very nice with high ceilings. The location was EXCELLENT and the hotel was lovely with an outside courtyard for eating breakfast, frescos, chandeliers and fountains. The front deck staff was helpful in booking restaurants and tours. We went on the Sienna/Chianti day tour... More

We stayed there for 3 nights in extremely hot weather near 95 F. The AC in the room is not strong as Hilton at beginning, but it eventually cooled down the room just enough for us to have a good sleep. The free breakfast is excellent with lots of variety. We would go back to this hotel just because of... More

The hotel was conveniently located near the train station. Also, convenient for the many sites to see in Florence. Yes, the room was a bit warm but we had been upgraded to a very large room so I can understand the difficulty. Wi-fi available for free. The breakfast was fabulous and the patio was a beautiful spot to eat. Just... More

My main problem with my room was the lack of A/C. It was hot in Florence and in my room. The desk kept telling me that they were adjusting something, but nothing ever changed. It was at or above 80°F (27°C) in my room from check-in to check-out time, and stuffy. The hotel is in a congested area, so if... More

The rooms didn't have working A/C or Fans. We felt suffocated during the night. You can't leave the window open because of bugs and outside smell. We complained everyday but the staff couldn't do anything about it.

Dear Customers, We thank you for your review and regret a lot that your stay in our hotel was not enough pleasant for you. We had some technical problems with the air conditioning system because of the terrible and out of the normal temperatures: actually the system is good working. We hope that in a future occasion you will give... More

We recently spent 10 days at the Hotel Paris in Florence. Housed in a former palazzo it's great value for money. Situated midway between the station and the Duomo it's ideal for people who want to see the main sights. Our room was spacious and quirky and the staff were wonderful. Just check that your room isn't one of those... More

Free upgrade on arrival to the presidential suite. It was really amazing to stay in this suite. My mom couldn't stop making photos for at least one hour :) Bathroom compared to the room was a bit small but still comfortable. Staff did speak good English and they were very helpful as well. Thanks for everything!

Long story short. If breakfast was a little better you can easy give this hotel one more star. I visit many hotels and this one is really good. I didn't expect it would be so comfortable to stay there!!! Bravo)))

Staying in Santa Maria Novella

Neighborhood Profile
Santa Maria Novella
Santa Maria Novella train station welcomes the majority of the people arriving in Florence, which might explain the hectic pace. Commuters and tourists come across the constant hustle and bustle of the station before exiting, taking a few steps and stopping amazed in Piazza di Santa Maria Novella. It is impossible not to admire the the square, housing one of the most charming basilicas in Florence. The area has plenty of local spots to taste Tuscan specialties, but don’t stop in the main streets alone; the narrower side streets always ensure satisfaction. The huge Parco Delle Cascine provides a solution to the need for a green area as well as a historic welcome in the form of a bronze statue of King Vittorio Emanuele II riding a horse.
