I stayed in the hotel for a week and found it a fantastic base for my trip to Florence. My fourth-floor room had a balcony with a stunning view of the rooftops looking towards the Mercato Centrale and the Duomo. The room was extremely clean and the bathroom was tiny but perfectly adequate for a solo traveller. Breakfast was good... More

It was bitterly cold outside & the room warm. Too warm. No matter what I did to turn down the thermostat it still remained extremely warm, I had to open the window as it was stifling. I got a room with 2 single beds for my daughter & I. It turns out that they were cot bases with really hard... More

This hotel is about 5 min walk from train station which is great. Breakfast was also really good. Wi-Fi was mostly good but seemed to cut out in common areas, worked well in rooms though. Bathroom seemed cheap, and sometimes smelled bad. Staff was very friendly! Great restaurants near too, even a burger and fry place if you are feeling... More

The room was quite comfortable and clean. Services and breakfast were satisfying too. The location (5 minutes by walk from Duomo) and the free luggage storage service were highly appreciated too. Staff was very nice.

excellent position, very easy to reach from Central Station. The airport bus stops right in front of the station and to the hotel not more than 3 minutes walk. Also very close to the old and the central square. The rooms furnished with fairly old but restored, and the bathroom has shower very small. Good breakfast, good coffee.

I really recomend this hotel, the staff was very friendly and helpful, our room was clean and cosy. The bathroom was big, big shower, hairdryer and everything that should be. The bedroom was big, nice furniture, the bed was really comfortable. The room was cleaned every day, new towels if we wanted every day. The breakfast was really good, fresh... More

The Hotel Machiavelli is very well positioned in Florence, the rooms are a little tired but clean and comfortable, we found the staff very pleasant and helpful they really couldn't of been any nicer. Choose a room to the rear of the hotel as the ones at the front tend to be very noisy from the city.

Not so bad for a small hotel in the city center. Good service and the room is comfy. 60€ + city tax for one night. For that price I don't expect spots on the ceiling and in the bathroom. Warning: the street side can be really noisy by night.

Room was clean, and not very large, Bathroom clean,,but shower truly requires flexibility. (VERY small, but LOTS of hot water), Many rooms have bigger showers, so this could be requested. We had a LARGE balcony, which had a lovely view of the Duomo. Everything was within walking distance, and the breakfast was more than adequate. Most of the front desk... More

San Lorenzo
San Lorenzo’s lively merchants shout out from behind stalls with an array of products in one of the most traditional neighborhoods in Florence. Different ethnic groups join together in the large outdoor market of San Lorenzo and in the Central Market, a vast multi-floored building.
