Quaint rooms, great central location, friendly service. Incredible happy hours in the hotel bar, and the adjacent restaurant has some delicious dishes. I've stayed here more than 10 times over the past 20 years and am never disappointed.

Stayed for 4 nights on a business trip. Room was clean and amenities of good quality but rather basic and certainly not luxurious. Rather noisy in the night mainly because of some 'very happy' tourists walking the streets in the early hours of the morning. Location to explore Florence historic centre is excellent and convenient to visit the region via... More

First, we can start with the location. Its very close to the train station which is handy. Its close to Santa Maria Novella which has Masaccios "The Holy Trinity" which is a pivotal Renaissance fresco, and its facade is done by Alberti. Not to be missed. But its also easy walking distance to the center of Florence to be awed... More

We stayed with friends in the Family Room. Room was out dated but served its purpose for the one night stay. Breakfast was included and was one of the better things about the hotel. Staff was very friendly for letting us have a late check out (1700) to shower off after the marathon run. Less than 10 min walk from... More

I visited this hotel with a group of students. The location was good. At first I was assigned a room on the fifth floor (no elevator and very musty smelling). I told the desk clerk that the room was not acceptable and he said, it was one of the better ones with a balcony ( a crumbling rooftop that would... More

Spent 2 nights in this comfortable hotel close to the train station and center of Florence. Hotel can do with a bit of a facelift but at the end all is functional. Breakfast is OK.. not WOW... Location is exceptional especially for anyone using the train station and/or the fair grounds... all these and the center of town are within... More

This hotel is very convenient is you are arriving in Florence by train. We walked from the station, dragging our suitcases. This also means it is within walking distance of the Duomo, Ponte Vecchio, and all the little narrow streets that as tourist you want to explore. Our room was clean, but a little dated, the bathroom small but adequate.... More

My husband and I stayed here in September 2013 during our trip to Italy. We booked Croce di Malta through Virgin Vacations and really enjoyed the hotel. 10 Minute walk from the train station. It's just around the corner from the Basilica of Santa Maria Novella and approx. a 10 minute walk to the Duomo. We ended up with a... More

The Hotel Croce Di Malta is in the heart of "tourist" Florence. It is close to everything the tourist would be interested in. The staff is very helpful, nearby restaurants very good. The building is very old - built as a convent in the 1200's but the renovations are awesome. How can you bring a 13th century building into the... More

Well the place looks dirty ,the room and everything in it seem it was not clean in very long time, the bathroom ...the bathtubs are so high up that it's so very hard to get in and out of them very dangerous,I was sacred I would get hurt.
