Hotel is centrally located and this is why I chose this property. A bit dated but I felt it added to the old world charm of the city. It was clean though. Breakfast was just okay, but it got us going for our busy day. The hairdryer in our bathroom was useless. It just blew a puff of warm air.... More

We stopped in for some directions and the staff was so helpful. The concierge even called and made a reservation for us. We are so grateful that they helped us even though we were not staying there. Shows you they are committed to all having a great time when in their city. Their kindness will not be forgotten!

The Pierre Hotel location was the best we could have chosen. It is central but quiet within easy walking distance to the Republic Square, Duomo, Statue of David and Ponte Vecchio etc. The room was outstanding with views of the Duomo and the city. We were on the top floor and it was very quiet with the exception of the... More

I have just spent a long weekend at this hotel after a long trip. Shared joining rooms with a friend, which were comfortable and very relaxing. Noted other reviews have reported that front rooms can be noisy. The hotel is right in the heart of Florence and all its beautiful attractions. So easy to wander around ,then return to the hotel... We stayed at the Pierre Hotel twice during our recent travel to Italy. Our first room was very lovely on the 4th floor over looking the hotel entrance street and our second room was even bigger & better on the 5th floor with roof top views and the Duomo Tower. The hotel staff was very warm and friendly and accommodating. They... More

We had three night -visit at Pierre. Our first night was more or less listening to variety of noises of street, and not so much sleeping. Next morning we changed that room, thanks to helpful staff, and got a comfort room - but no view. But a silent room with a great bed etc. for next two nights.

Excellent hotel in the heart of the most interesting part of the historic Florence: A stone's throw from Piazza Signoria Service quite efficient. Room spacious enough, with very good bedding. Excellent value for money.

Stayed here over Christmas holidays. It is located in an historical florentine palace. The breakfast room and the view from there confer the taste of an historical venue and makes you feel a genuine Renaissance feeling. It is relatively small, but the room we got was spacious and nice. Staff kind and helpful.

We had 4 nights in this charming hotel. Room quiet, was lovely and clean and nice toiletries. Would have liked bath robes but apart from that could not fault. Breakfast was great with much variety. Staff could not be more helpful and always very pleasant. So close to everything in Florence in the heart of the city and good value.... More

Staying in Duomo

Neighborhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
