This hotel was very spacious, quiet, and was perfectly located to the major tourist attractions. The front desk staff were courteous and helpful in arranging taxis for us whenever we needed. I would recommend this hotel if you plan on not spending a lot of time there. Book this hotel for its convenience not for a luxury experience.

We stayed or 3 nights (8/9 - 8/12). After checking in, we were escorted to our room and everything was pointed out to us. Rooms was clean and roomy. We had issues with water seeping through the shower door the first night, but after adjusting the shower door, the issue was resolved. Staff was very courteous and helpful. They helped... More

Good Location, but horrible WiFI, shower door fell off hinges and could not be repaired so they moved us to another room. Small breakfast but sufficient. Floor was dirty I don't think they mop they only sweep them. All of our socks were black. We asked them to clean them but they were still dirty??? They do not offer slippers... More

This hotel was a bit of a disappointment for me. Although the location is perfect, and Lucia was very friendly and helpful to us, the breakfast was very ordinary, we had to ask to replace the tissue box, the hotel apparently does not offer any body lotion or hair conditioner. The smell of varnish (they clean the wood floors with... More

Stayed here for one night after being transferred from Hotel De La Ville due to broken air conditioning. After arriving by taxi, we were pleased to see Hotel Pierre looked beautiful from the outside. Reception staff were pleasant. We were taken to our room through a warren of corridors - only to find we had been given a room in... More

Heart of Florence, nice rooms, and friendly staff. About 10-15 min walk to the station. I was provided free wi-fi. Barely any hot water, a/c half working, and breakfast wasn't that great. You'd have to pay extra for boiled eggs... Overall would change hotel if location is similar

This place is a gem. The staff is so friendly, helpful, and service focused. They speak English well and go out of their way to be helpful. The hotel is in a great location near one of the markets and Piazza Della Republica. Minutes from the Ponte Vecchio and Uffizi museum. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. Ask for an... More

The staff were so friendly and helpful. They made us feel welcomed. The room and bathroom were large and well appointed. Even though the temps outside were close to 100 F, the AC worked great. The bed was comfortable and the room darkening exterior shades made for restful sleep. Do not miss the Nutella croissants at breakfast (still dreaming about... More

Staying in Duomo

Neighborhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
