Stayed here for one night after being transferred from Hotel De La Ville due to broken air conditioning. After arriving by taxi, we were pleased to see Hotel Pierre looked beautiful from the outside. Reception staff were pleasant. We were taken to our room through a warren of corridors - only to find we had been given a room in... More

Heart of Florence, nice rooms, and friendly staff. About 10-15 min walk to the station. I was provided free wi-fi. Barely any hot water, a/c half working, and breakfast wasn't that great. You'd have to pay extra for boiled eggs... Overall would change hotel if location is similar

This place is a gem. The staff is so friendly, helpful, and service focused. They speak English well and go out of their way to be helpful. The hotel is in a great location near one of the markets and Piazza Della Republica. Minutes from the Ponte Vecchio and Uffizi museum. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. Ask for an... More

The staff were so friendly and helpful. They made us feel welcomed. The room and bathroom were large and well appointed. Even though the temps outside were close to 100 F, the AC worked great. The bed was comfortable and the room darkening exterior shades made for restful sleep. Do not miss the Nutella croissants at breakfast (still dreaming about... More

Enough cannot be said about this staff. They are wonderful and very kind. We are a family of 5 and enjoyed our stay very much (2 rooms). We would highly recommend this hotel. Great location as well! We stayed during heat wave, and rooms could get a bit warm, but they gave us a fan and it helped a lot.... More

We loved this hotel! It is close to everything including great restaurants, museums, shopping and famous leather markets. The rooms are large, especially the corner rooms, and bathrooms very spacious. Our corner room overlooked the street where three artists were painting the Mona Lisa, which was very cool. They also had a great breakfast buffet each day that was included... More

We stayed here for three days while in Florence. This was a nice location to shopping and restaurants. Hotel staff friendly and very willing to help you in any fashion. Room was very nice and bed was huge. Bathrooms clean and spacious. Recommend this to other couples or familes.

Although a bit underwhelming after a great hotel we stayed in Rome, the Pierre Hotel in Florence is a good choice. It is itself a historic building dating to the 13th century! Our room was on the second floor with windows facing a quiet alley with many a storefront but hardly a person. We did hear some noise coming from... More

The hotel located in the center of the city but a little bit away from tourists crowds. The hotel can be recommended for anyone traveling with kids or without due to good sound insulation of rooms. Reasonable price level is, very friendly staff and nice rooms are very attractive arguments in a decision to stay in this hotel. Breakfast is... More

I am on a mother-daughter trip to celebrate her high school graduation. We spent 5 nights here on our arrival in Italy. It is a charming small hotel near the piazza vecchio and easy walking distance to il duomo. The breakfast buffet was generous with selections of meat and cheese, yogurt, juice, fruit, breads and pastries as well as hot... More

Staying in Duomo

Neighborhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
