Unfortunately, like many hotels in Florence cars must be in the garage, for 35EUR a night you car will be picked up and valet for whenever you need it. As our car was rented I didn't want anyone else to drive it, so I chose to walk everyday to a car park nearby. I thought this was a little hassle,... more

I have stayed at Sofitels in Montreal , New York and Paris and this was not the service I expected from a Sofitel. Location is good but our room was small, dark and very shabby with worn carpets and dirty mats ( hiding the stained carpet ). Our room was at the front of the hotel on a busy road and... more

The location close to the Duomo, Baptistero, David and San Marco and a few blocks away from Palazzo Medici and San Lorenzo is perfect. The staff went out of their way to guide us to museums and restaurants. The room, the larger size, had a one step up to the bed and bathroom area and a seating area upon entry.... more

I loved the location of this hotel. It is right at the middle of all the action. All the great shops and museums are within walking distance. The room was spacious. The bathroom was modern and large. Very clean . Staff was courteous and accomodating. Lots of restaurants close by. more

We recently stayed at the Sofitel in Florence for three nights. We decided to stay here because of the great deal we were offered. Stay three nights pay for two and breakfast was included. Also note, my husband is a Platinum Accor Card holder with Sofitel. We stayed with another couple who had a baby. My husband and my "upgraded... more

I've been there in mid Febraury after an early booking on Sofitel Website. I 'had reserved a LUXURY ROOM - 1 queen size bed, spacious room, quiet surroundings 32 sqm 344sqf, perfect soundproofing, marble bathroom, high speed internet, movies, VIP welcome, Gift with Via Cerratani view. But when I arrived in the hotel I was given a a very tiny... more

Stayed here late August for 4 nights but only writing review now. Booked with hotel website and got an offer - 4 days for price of 3 plus a "chic picnic" Travelled by airport coach from Pisa which dropped us at main station - about 5 mins easy walk to hotel. Also left by train to Lucca so being handy... more

Not much to comment except to say that the beds are triffic and the location is very central. As previous reviewers mentioned, service is not with a smile and the breakfast is very non discript. The restaurant was empty - the bar area was comfortable and warm. It was November and cold outside. Overall, we would stay there again. more

My wife and I stayed here for three nights. Friendly and effiicient staff, and large and comfortable room. Only two minutes walk from the Duomo. We noticed that the dining room was always empty in the evenings. Breakfasts adequate but not outstanding more

We stayed at Sofitel Firenze over a long weekend in April. Here is a summary of our stay and I will be as objective as possible. Good points: Nice bathroom (clean, good size), good location (though Florence is small and everything is easy walking distance). Now for the negative points: Our room was absolutely tiny and awkwardly shaped. It was... more
