We booked this apt as it was close to a number of places we wanted to visit. The managers were very helpful and pointed out places to eat and visit. Our only disappointment was that as it was classed as an apt and included a fridge and microwave along with plates and casserole dishes, there was no kettle or place... More

This is a great place to stay as far as visiting the sights of Florence. Within walking distance of the train station as long as you don't have large luggage. Ponte Vecchio bridge, Uffizi Gallery, Duomo all within easy walk and Boboli Gardens at the end of the street. One block over is the Santa Spirita piazza which has all... More

Situated in the artistic quarter close to the Piti Palace and Ponte Vecchio, a short walk across the Arno from the Duomo and David, these apartments are convenient and clean. We had apartment 2, at the front so lovely big windows looking onto the Via Maggio. There was a kitchen (very well equipped), lounge/diner, one bedroom and shower room, with... More

We had Two reservations. The Jr Suite (main floor behind the reservation desk) and an other, bigger suite #4 in second floor. Pros: location, kitchenette, spacious units, air conditioning, decent wifi Cons: The Jr Suite had some sort of petroleum smell. All five of us ended up staying in the bigger suite for three nights. One additional rollaway bed costed... More

We stayed 3 nights here, because a friend recommend the suite to us. First: This is not really a posh palazzo. more like a big, dark, renovated private house. The room had a lovely painted high ceiling, but sadly no view or daylight at all. In the early mornings the heater was not working because switched of by the owner... More

The Palace apartment is lovely and clean. The room we had was huge with very high painted ceilings and heated floorboards. And it's in an excellent location on the far side of the Ponte Vecchio from the Duomo but easy to walk to the crowded piazza in 10 mins. The only drawback was getting slapped with a 10 euro late... The experience of Florence was amazing! The hotel experience can only be seen as a joke otherwise we should file a law suit for these people....the joke commences upon check in. A Chinese guy that speaks a language of his own is at the reception (sort of speaking). The room had been booked long ago via credit card so normally... More

Couldn't have been better. Very welcoming arrival - we emailed our flight details in advance & were able to have our apartment from 11am. Really helpful staff, totally flexible & accommodating. Apartment nicely furnished, comfortable bed & surprisingly comfortable sofa bed. No problems with kitchen, some reviewers have mentioned lack of dish soap, we had tea towel, bin liners, dish... Had to book for one night. 2 adults with to children (8/15). We got apartment 4 and it was great. We had a balcony and a fully equipped kitchen. There where three separate aircondition intallments. Across the street we had some takeout pizza from Gusta. Probably the best - according to the crowd. The Pitti Palace was just a 2... More

Minutes walk to Pitti Palace, Pointe Vecchio, tons of restaurants and all major attractions in central Florence. At 21 Via Maggio, this location is within the zone where you cannot drive a car, so if you've got a rental plan ahead. Taxis are now reliable and abundant and quick in Florence, plus if you're staying at Orlando Palace you're a... More

Staying in Pitti

Neighborhood Profile
Pitti
Pitti is a neighborhood characterized by art and history. Renaissance architecture such as Pitti Palace, which houses five museums alone, introduces visitors to the green lungs of spectacular Boboli Gardens. Any visitor can wander through statues, fountains, and panoramic viewpoints. Around the garden, treasures like the Museum of Natural History of the Specola and Villa Bardini guide guests through Florence as the cradle of the Renaissance. End the day with an aperitif in Piazza della Passera or the more romantic Forte di Belvedere, which offers an amazing panoramic view of the entire city.
