We were expecting a stock bedroom and were upgraded to a superior room complete with spa. A beautiful hotel in one of the most central spots in Florence. The breakfasts are well done each day on the second floor and the staff were always helpful. Nothing seemed to be too much for them.

This property is very centrally located on a quiet street and you can walk to the Duomo within three minutes, and to the train station within 10! The elevator is tiny, as is the case with most of these old converted villas and palaces. They seem to be two types of rooms. Those on the ground floor are quite large... More

Booked for one night on a last minute deal and was really impressed with the central location you can walk from the rail & bus station. The reception area is very stylish with helpful staff, free happy hour drink if you’re around. Our room was on the ground floor was a wow it had vaulted ceilings with exposed brickwork. The... More

Booked here after seeing positive reviews. We arrived early in the morning but were able to leave our bags. Our room (Room 41) was amazing, very spacious, clean, massive bathroom with huge bath, separate shower and double sink. The staff were very friendly and helpful, always on hand to offer advice. Breakfast was extensive-classically continental; meats, cheeses, pastries and fruit.... More

My experience was excellent. A lovely hotel in a very central setting. The reception was extremely friendly and helpful. Our room was superb. Very comfortable bed in a very spacious room. Bathroom was vast with not only a shower and toilet area but also a whirlpool bath. Very relaxing. So if you want a central hotel with good breakfast as... More

Have stayed at several hotels in Florence over the years & this one is pretty good. It is really very close to the Duomo, other tourist attractions and a short walk to the train station. Arrived early in the morning and while our room wasn't ready, the woman at the front desk offered to store our luggage (and it was... More

Basic and overpriced. Bad views even though the website looks very glossy. No point paying extra for a room with a view as same room/price without a view and the view we had was restricted or of a roof. Breakfast nice and central location but wouldn't stay again. Nice staff but overall 2 .5 stars at best

Dear Guest, first of all we want to thank you to stay in our hotel. Your review seems to us not corriponding to the services that we daily offer. Our Hotel is completely rennovated and ideally located very close to the Duomo and to the major monuments of the city. The room, that you reseved, has the view of Medici... More

Stayed in July 15 during the heat wave. Hotel was perfect for shopping, eating, and tours. Safe and quiet. The tiny elevator is just part of Florence. Do take advantage of the breakfast before starting your day. avoid he night staff, they are there for security only. This is offset by the great day staff. Great restaurants within easy walking... They are very near the Duomo, the train station is about a 10 minute walk and the breakfast had a variety of options. Also way too close Is the street cart vendors- this is where you can buy and bargain for leather goods. I highly recommend roaming the streets at sunrise when all is quiet to embrace this romantic city.... More

We stayed for 3 nights. While our stay I have been thinking of checking from google what does it take to be a 4 star hotel, because this is the best 3 star I've been. Maybe even best hotel where I've been. The staff really speaks english, breakfast buffet is great with the chance to ask for extra crapes or... More

Staying in San Lorenzo

Neighborhood Profile
San Lorenzo
San Lorenzo’s lively merchants shout out from behind stalls with an array of products in one of the most traditional neighborhoods in Florence. Different ethnic groups join together in the large outdoor market of San Lorenzo and in the Central Market, a vast multi-floored building. Visitors are bound to fall in love with this area and in particular, with its variety of food, especially those focusing on Florentine dishes as well as international selections. Nobody leaves San Lorenzo without a shopping bag in hand or with an empty stomach.
