This is the most delightful, relaxing, beautiful and enjoyable place we have ever stayed. The location is perfect for access into Florence, just a short walk through olives groves and gardens. Yet when you're back in the villa it feels like its miles from anywhere. Stunning views across the city and Tuscan hills, day and night. The staff are a... More

This Villa is your fantasy come true. I felt like I should be wearing a flowing dress as I threw open the shutters each morning and renaming my boyfriend “Bartolomeo”. I hope the owners stay true to their vision in restoring/furnishing this fabulous place and never bow to the few complaints from people who should have stayed at the Travelodge... More

Last summer, 2015, we had the pleasure of staying at Bellesguardo, our second visit. This time, 15 years later, with our young children 8 & 11! In the middle of July, in the middle of a heat wave, we found ourselves in heaven. After wandering the gardens and marveling at the architecture of Bellesguardo itself, we swam in the baby... More

What a restful stay at the unique and special Bellosguardo, utterly peaceful with the garden, donkey orchards and olive trees falling away below- just a stones throw from one of the city gates. We walked this way into Florence but usually took a taxi back up the hill. Our room was exquisite with canopied bed and painted beams. The views were... More

If you want a unique, beautiful and friendly atmosphere, look no further. The obvious and outstanding beauty of the renaissance villa - which serves as a perfect oasis away from the more crowded centre of Florence - its gardens, and the breath-taking views, go hand in hand with the friendliest and most helpful staff. Their hospitality was top-notch and familiar,... More

The location was stunning and the place beyond expactation. With a special mention for the staff, nice and very helpful. They kindly booked for us different restaurant/trattoria every night and all of them were perfect places.

We visited Florence for its historic art and architecture and this villa has certainly enhanced our experience. This renaissance villa looks amazing as we drove through the gates, we were then greeted by a friendly member of staff who took care of our luggages and was also extremely helpful with restaurant advice and directions. The suite we stayed in was... More

Our fifth year ti take a vacation there, in winter, was as satisfying as YEAR 1. The staff, Luca, Roberto and Valentina were delightful. The gardeners who keep these wonderful gardens, delivered our logs for the fire just when they were needed and then there was the cooking class with Anna, wife of the owner Amerigo. Thats Italian at its... More

As soon as you walk through the doors of this fabulous ancestral home, you realise that an adventure is in store. The views of Florence from the garden are so memorable that a camera cannot do them justice - you just have to stand there and take it in. Then, one you get to your room - no, palatial suite... First time visit to Florence and can say without hesitation I will never stay anywhere else. The view, the grounds/gardens, the staff, the room, bed - everything far exceeded any expectations and even the photos shown on the website (its even more beautiful in person).
