I recommend to stay at Hotel Morandi alla Croce when you are in Florence. My children (aged 13,11 and 9) and myself loved the delightful atmosphere, the friendly staff, the excellent service and the lovely breakfasts. The location is perfect, close to cultural explorations, But still very quiet with a touch of the genuine Florence behind. Just enjoy :)

This is a really charming hotel. I was here with my 3 older kids for 4 nights. The staff is wonderfully helpful and friendly....the rooms were both perfect with a little terrace... I could have a nice cup of tea in my room in the afternoon, and the breakfast was delicious and served with grace in a pleasant little room.When... More

Imagine this--a century old convent with all the charm of yesteryear and with modern plumbing. Location perfect for historic old city...can walk everywhere. We were glad we had no car...would have been nuisance since everything is near. Each room is unique. He has even left a sample of old wall exposed. Our only "problem": breakfast tables a little small for... More

The staff at the Morandi was excellent. Efficient and helpful. Especially when helping us to get my daughters bag that the airline had misplaced. We stayed here on a Rick Steve's and Trip Advisor recommendation and it was exactly as expected. We had a two level room with four beds as it was a generational trip. The location was very... More

The Hotel Morandi All Crocetta is a lovely place. The staff were so kind and helpful. Our family had a quad room, which was really spacious and comfortable - it even included an intriguing loft. We reserved a space in their tiny parking garage, and the staff was so helpful to meet us and help us wedge our rental car... More

This former convent is lovely and peaceful. The staff was very helpful in suggesting restaurants and in making reservations and scheduling taxis. The rooms are well appointed as are the public areas. Their cappuccino was the best we had on our 8 day stay in Tuscany. The only small drawback is the stairs to the reception area but the staff... More

This is a lovely hotel, a former convent. It is situated on the second floor, so one needs to be able to climb the steps. It has been magnificently restored. The staff is wonderful. The rooms are spotless and the breakfast was delicious. The location is ideal for walking throughout Florence. I highly recommend you book a room here.

I liked this hotel so much that I returned for a second time in two years and was even more impressed by the care with which they took. My luggage had not made it to Florence and Paolo and his team were extremely helpful. Our room was lovely, even had a gracious outdoor terrace; I was happy to come back... More
