We spend a total of three days at this stylish hotel from the Lungarno group and love the location and the staff. As you can expect from a trendy boutique hotel, the Gallery Art presents a sleek, stylish lobby, complete with a selection of large celebrity portraits (Christopher Walken's being a personal favourite). The staff was super friendly and professional,... More

Room is spacious, clean with good amenities. Strong A/C. Though the TV was too small for the room. The best thing about the hotel is that it is centrally located, within short walking distance of each tourist attractions like Ponte Vecchio, Piazza Michelangelo, etc. We also love the creative decorations outside of the hotel. You cannot miss the red spoons.

We stayed in Gallery Hotel Art in July. It is in a great location, about 15' walk from the train station and the major sites. The restaurant is fantastic. The room itself was large and modernly appointed. The concierge made fantastic recommendations to dine where the locals do (versus where the tourists are). Great experience.

This hotel was wonderful! We spent 3 days there and traveled to a conference in southern Italy. We were so impressed with this hotel and it's staff that we changed our plans and returned to the Gallery Hotel. The location of this hotel is so convenient to the plazas, museums and restaurants. Also the air-conditioning was great! With Florence experiencing... More

This was a fantastic hotel to stay at. Florence was very very hot when we visitied and this hotel was in the centre of everything - all we had to do was pop back for an air-conditioned rest when we needed it, then we could head out to visit another beautiful place. Eating there was far beyond our budget, but... More

Family with two children visited in July for a couple of nights. Given two rooms that could be made adjoining by closing an external door. One room was a little on the small side but the other was a very good size. Weather very hot outside, but we found our rooms comfortable and quiet. This is a very nice hotel... More

We spent 2 nights in this hotel while visiting Florence for a wedding. Really impressed with the central location, quality and size of the room and the great friendly service of the staff. Plenty to choose from during breakfast and easy walking distance to attractions, pharmacy and mini market make this hotel an ideal base for exploring Florence.

My family found this gallery practically hidden in the woods. It is incredible. The full sized gallery is free, but it looked like an expensive gallery from New York. Well lighted and with beautiful original paintings of all kinds of Alaska scenes, the gallery also contains fabulous wood carvings and Native art. The paintings span the life of Norman Lowell,... My partner and I went to Florence last weekend for the wedding of a great friend. We booked this hotel well in advance, specifically because of its location close to the Ponte Vecchio and all the major galleries and churches, we were not disappointed, it was the most perfect location! Our room was bright, spacious and immaculately clean with plenty... More

Wonderful hotel, very friendly staff, amazing location! The rooms are spacious, clean, beautiful, and with so much closet space that the three of us staying in one room were all able to comfortably unpack. A++

Staying in Uffizi

Neighborhood Profile
Uffizi
Every visitor coming to Florence for the first time will immediately identify with Uffizi. As in past times, passing through Via dei Calzaiuoli, you can reach the city center, the Florence that everybody dreams of. In just a few steps, visitors can experience the rare beauty of the capital of the Renaissance. walking delighted across Palazzo Vecchio and overlooking Piazza della Signoria, up to the Loggia of the Uffizi where it is possible to fully taste the talent of the best artists who animated Florence over the centuries. When the sun goes down, there’s nothing better than a walk along the river Arno up to the ancient bridge, Ponte Vecchio. It is full of jewels and decorated by the colors captured in postcards.
