We didn't know what we would find when dropped off by the cab in front of an entryway that didn't look like a hotel, next to a store and cafe. After deciding to take the stairs up to the entrance, instead of the old fashioned elevator (which we eventually used all the time), we were met by a pleasant smile... More

Great location, clean and very helpful staff! Family running the place, all ready to help out and help out with anything you need! Really close to the amazing Duomo -Cattedrale di Santa Maria del Fiore! We loved going on walks and it was close to everything, so even if you needed to get back and rest or drop off something... This is the 3rd time we stayed here. We like the family ran atmosphere. We feel welcomed when we arrive. The rooms are clean and breakfast very good. We have had them reserve museum tickets for us each time. Easy to get to from train station, we walked it. And can easily explore Florence on foot from here.

Our flight from Paris was diverted to land at Bologna rather than Florence due to the Fog conditions. So, a two hour trip turned into a five hour ordeal. But, once we arrived at Casci, the efficient check-in, and the quality of the rooms more than made up for the hassle. We had two rooms. Both the rooms were big... More

Staff provided very early breakfast to accommodate 630 am flight and arranged for taxi in a blink of a eye. Location very accessible to major sites as well as the train station and you can't beat the price. I will be back again, hopefully soon but in the meantime have recommended to friends both within Italy and in the US.

Based upon TripAdvisor reviews, we stayed at the Hotel Casci from Nov 20-22nd, 2015 and were absolutely thrilled with this hotel. Within walking distance of the train and major sites, (though bumpy on paved streets if hauling luggage), it is an older hotel so still has old-world charm but with all the modern amenities one might need. Our room was... More

The people that run this hotel are great! Super friendly, super helpful. This is not a luxury hotel but if you are looking for a reliable, clean hotel in a phenomenal location at a great price then this hotel is for you. When I needed help locating a place, they went above and beyond to make sure I got there.... More

I visited here in 2013 after leaving another AWFUL hotel. The staff were friendly and pleasant, while being very accommodating and welcoming. The room was beautiful, clean stylish and warm!!!! The breakfast was lovely with a lot of fresh and varied options. The atmosphere was great here and we were given a calendar upon our departure. Ive waited nearly 3... More

I highly recommend this hotel. My husband and adult son stayed in one room at this hotel in November. The location is excellent. You can walk everywhere from there. (Actually, you can probably walk everywhere from any hotel in the historical part of Florence.) I was told that at one time the street that the hotel is on used to... More

My daughter and I stayed at the Hotel Casci for 5 nights in November 2015, after reading several glowing reviews. We were not disappointed. Staying in San Lorenzo

Neighborhood Profile
San Lorenzo
San Lorenzo’s lively merchants shout out from behind stalls with an array of products in one of the most traditional neighborhoods in Florence. Different ethnic groups join together in the large outdoor market of San Lorenzo and in the Central Market, a vast multi-floored building. Visitors are bound to fall in love with this area and in particular, with its variety of food, especially those focusing on Florentine dishes as well as international selections. Nobody leaves San Lorenzo without a shopping bag in hand or with an empty stomach.
