Steps away from the duomo, this was located close to all restaurants, shopping and monuments. Loved the personal attention of the owners and the fact that it was in a 15th century castle. Charming rooms (we had the quad rooms 15 and 26 that accommodated 4 each), just what we needed as a group of 8. Room 15 had a... More

Comfortable, quiet, clean, modern bathrooms. Breakfast was pretty impressive. Dining recommendations were great. We had a lost luggage situation & the staff was so helpful calling the airlines on our behalf. It's a really good find.

What a lovely find. Clean, perfectly located, well-priced, multi-lanugage TV, air conditioning, perfect breakfast, and a staff that makes you feel safe and cared-for. The hotel is located seconds from the Duomo, which make navigating back to the hotel simple at any time of day. Keep in mind something I didn’t know from the outset: the city of Florence charges... This was a repeat visit to this hotel and we enjoyed it very much. The family was very kind and accommodating for us and the rooms were very comfortable with good wifi and most importantly, good air conditioning. Breakfast is very good and the location is fabulous as it is close to the centro storico and an easy walk from... More

This is a wonderful gem of a hotel in the center of Florence. The Lombardi family is extremely warm and welcoming and all of the personnel working in this hotel exude the same level of warmth and friendliness. They help you with your travel plans and any and every request to help make your stay in Florence as comfortable and... More

We have been visiting Florence for the last 15 years and always stayed at the Casci, and it is like staying with family. Staff couldn't be more friendly and helpful. Breakfast wonderful, coffee continually refilled, spotless rooms, location excellent and great value for money. We give it 5 stars. Vilma, Elizabeth and Jean, Scotland.

Staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. They gave great recommendations for food, things to do and the best place to hire bicycles and at lower prices. The breakfasts were good. They made sure we still could come and sit for breakfast at 6.30 as we had a train to catch, even though breakfast only starts at 7.30. Thanks for a... More

My wife and I really enjoyed our 4-night stay at Hotel Casci. Although the décor is very simple, the rooms are quite spacious and the location is incredible. You are literally a few blocks from the San Lorenzo Market, the Duomo, Accademia, and Uffizi gallery. When we arrived early, we were able to leave our belongings at the front desk... More

Staying in San Lorenzo

Neighborhood Profile
San Lorenzo
San Lorenzo’s lively merchants shout out from behind stalls with an array of products in one of the most traditional neighborhoods in Florence. Different ethnic groups join together in the large outdoor market of San Lorenzo and in the Central Market, a vast multi-floored building. Visitors are bound to fall in love with this area and in particular, with its variety of food, especially those focusing on Florentine dishes as well as international selections. Nobody leaves San Lorenzo without a shopping bag in hand or with an empty stomach.
