I wanted a budget hotel in Florence as I don't see the point in paying extortionate prices for 'boutique' - all I want is a clean and comfortable room. Hotel Casci exceeded my expectations; I had a well-appointed room that was spotless, and another plus is a large room safe that will take a laptop as well as other things.... More

We booked this hotel again as we thought it so good the last time we stayed and we were so pleased with our visit. Everything is spotlessly clean and the breakfasts are superb. There is a buffet and hot drinks are brought to you. There is a wide choice and you help yourself to as much or as little as... More

I had a truly delightful 5 night stay at Hotel Casci. The hotel is in a great location--you can walk from the train station and to all of the sites and there are plenty of dining options nearby. The included breakfasts were a perfect start to the day and the staff (the owners, I believe) were very friendly. The rooms... More

I've been staying at the Hotel Casci since my first visit in 1998. Besides its absolutely perfect location near the Duomo, the hotel is efficiently run by its owner-family, Carla and son Paolo, who have always been incredibly warm and amiable--so much so that they made me feel like family. The rooms are spacious and clean, and despite the hotel's... More

We stayed in hotel casci for two nights. Superb location, less than 5 min walk to the gallery where you can view 'David' and to the Duomo (Main Cathedral) which is an incredible sight!! Hotel was an easy walk from the hotel too even with suitcases. Staff were exceptionally freindly and gave us great advice, such as the best places... More

The best assets of this hotel are its owners, staff and location. We received one of our warmest welcomes here toward the end of a 5 week trip around Europe. I was traveling with my 14 year old son and was very ill while in Italy. I was asked on numerous occasions how I was and if we needed anything.... More

Clean and comfortable rooms and close to all the sightseeing. Breakfast was good and staff spoke english. Water and pop also for purchase at a good price. They were also able to store our luggage, since we arrived early in the morning

This small hotel was just what we were looking for - central to attractions, friendly, English speaking staff, comfortable and accommodating. While not "luxurious" in any way, it was very nicely decorated, had an elevator (you do get worn out dragging suitcases up staircases in Italy) and they take their hospitality seriously. We asked that our two double beds be... More

Great location a few minutes stroll from the centre. First-class service, very warm and welcoming, always attentive and and nothing was too much trouble. Check-in was very straightforward. Great communication when booking. Valet parking for €27 if you need it was no problem and very efficient. Grand old building, the rooms were bright and spotlessly clean, the air-con was excellent,... Staying in San Lorenzo

Neighborhood Profile
San Lorenzo
San Lorenzo’s lively merchants shout out from behind stalls with an array of products in one of the most traditional neighborhoods in Florence. Different ethnic groups join together in the large outdoor market of San Lorenzo and in the Central Market, a vast multi-floored building. Visitors are bound to fall in love with this area and in particular, with its variety of food, especially those focusing on Florentine dishes as well as international selections. Nobody leaves San Lorenzo without a shopping bag in hand or with an empty stomach.
