My wife and I really enjoyed our 4-night stay at Hotel Casci. Although the décor is very simple, the rooms are quite spacious and the location is incredible. You are literally a few blocks from the San Lorenzo Market, the Duomo, Accademia, and Uffizi gallery. When we arrived early, we were able to leave our belongings at the front desk... More

Great location, clean, comfortable family run hotel. Should definitely be rated higher than a 2 star hotel. Carla and staff made sure we were well taken care of. Offered great suggestions for restaurants. Rooms were clean and comfortable with good A/C and wifi. Breakfast was nice with the added touch of homemade hot chocolate which Carla brought around several mornings... More

Fantastic gem of a family-run hotel in the heart of Florence. We stayed there twice on our last trip through Tuscany. The Owners really know how to provide for every need of their guests. They will happily arrange appt, timed tickets to the major sites,( avoiding the long lines!). The Accademia, Doumo, Ufuzzi and Ponte Veccio are all mere minutes... More

Hotel Europa was fully booked for the period we want so I found this little gem across the street. This is a small family run 2 or 3 star hotel with its entrance on the 1st (read 2nd for Americans) floor. Although there are only 4 of us, the lift will only fit 3 of our size. Paolo was very... After a late-night escape from an awful Airbnb apartment, we took a chance and booked this on the spur of the moment based on price & availability - I'm really glad we did. Our double room was the last one available and on the small side (something the owner was totally open about, making sure we had viewed it and... More

This is hotel is central, clean, quite and most of all family run by a mother and her two sons. They personally cooked us soft-boiled eggs for breakfast! Attentive every step of our visit and even offered a complimentary beer whist we were waiting to leave for the nearby station (SMN). Flash it isn't ... Friendly it is!. 120 Euros... More

This is a very friendly, well located hotel. Breakfast is included and has a good variety of food items. I enjoyed the cozy lounge located next to reception. Hotel is located on the 3rd floor of the building, but there is a lift. About a 10 minute walk to Santa Maria Novella Train station. Super friendly staff.

In May 2015 we had a 3 night stay and it really was superb. People of all nationalities were there and it was a great atmosphere at breakfast time, all added to by the way the hotel was run by Paolo and family. They made our whole stay a real pleasure by making it so relaxing. Florence is not that... More

We loved this hotel. Nice breakfast. They help you arrange excursions and tickets for local attractions. Friendly staff. They respond to emails promptly. Clean rooms. Would stay here again. The free wifi was a little sluggish in the rooms, but who comes to Italy to be hooked to the Internet for hours anyway?
