Location is perfect, staff is helpful, room was clean. You don't need more for the city trip! Every interested thing is within walking distance, so you can save a lot of time for traveling. I definitely recommend this hotel for a short city trip!

We arrived in on the train and had about a 10 minute walk to the hotel. It was easy to find and an excellent location for visiting the main attractions of Florence. Although it is located on a busy thoroughfare, the room itself was very quiet. The Duomo is literally a 2 minute walk to the left and the Palazzo... More

The location of this hotel is truly perfect. You are only about 1 to 1.5 blocks from the Duomo and Bell Tower. This is a perfect base to walk to all the major sites in 10 to 15 minutes. The room was plenty clean and comfortable, and the staff was very helpful. Obviously not the Ritz or Four Seasons, but... More

The Hotel Maxim is an ideal locaton for exploring Florence. We have just returned from a visit and would recommend this hotel. The staff are great particularly Lorella on reception, all speak perfect English which makes things very good when your Italian is not so good!! A big thank you to all for making us so welcome. A perfect location for sightseeing in the old town, the Hotel Maxim has friendly staff who speak English and are very helpful. Our room was large enough and clean, with shuttered windows that opened onto a side street. It had a wardrobe as well as a table and chairs. The bed was comfortable with crispy clean linen. The bathroom, however,... More

We love this hotel! Situated on Via dei Calzaiuoli just steps away from the Duomo on our first stay at Hotel Maxim we awoke to the sound of the Giotto's bells ringing and found a charming breakfast room decorated with the owner's paintings and lovely old Tuscan pottery decorating the walls. When we returned to Firenze three years later we... More

My husband and I and another couple just spent three nights at the Hotel Maxim in Florence. As others have said, the location could not have been more ideal and the staff was very helpful. What sets the Maxim apart from other hotels in this price range is that the rooms are large enough for two people to navigate and... More

This is a charming little hotel located on the fourth floor of an old building right in the middle of one of the main streets in old town Florence. Just like everyone mentioned before, the location is perfect as you can walk everywhere from here. The hotel staff is very nice and helpful. The staff speaks both English and Spanish... More

situated between the Duomo and the Uffizi on Via del Calzaluoli, you could not find a more convenient location in Firenze. The staff is friendly and the free WiFi has a strong signal. A nice breakfast is included. The major sites and excellent dining (and shopping) are all very close. The train station is also within walking distance if you... More
