My partner and I stayed at the hotel for 2 nights and we were thoroughly pleased with our stay - the staff were always polite and very welcoming at the desk and we had fantastic, friendly service from the waitresses during breakfast. This hotel is situated in the perfect location in Florence! Located on a quieter road, only a 1... More

My husband and I were on a road trip in August around Italy and stayed in Florence for three days. If you stay in the hotel in center of the town you can drive to the hotel and they park your car for the duration of your stay in a garage, which is very convenient. Hotel has a great location.... Reception staff were extremely helpful dealing with my late night enquiry about the safe arrival of my teenage son on an unscheduled stop from Rome. We booked the last room available late in the evening, due to cancelled train. Staff handled anxious phone calls from the UK with the upmost care and reassurance. I would throughly recommend this hotel for... More

Upon arrival we were greeted with a warm welcome and helpful staff at the front desk. The room was clean, but the AC could have been a little more powerful. The hotel is very close to everything and the rooftop bar is fantastic! The breakfast was better than most free hotel breakfasts. I would love to give this hotel more... More

less than 100 metres from cathedral and nearby other cultural places. View from terrace at night cost a minimum of a glass of wine at 10 euros each, but well worth it.Breakfast as good as it gets. Staff at desk friendly and helpful. Difficult to drive there and park, but it is in the centre of an old cultural city.... More

This hotel is in a great location next to the Duomo and close to the center of tourist attractions. The staff spoke english and the rooms were clean and spacious (for Italy). Breakfast was included in our stay though the dining area was a bit cramped.

How I wish I could recommend this elegant old-world beautiful hotel! It is most central, the receptionists are nice, breakfast is included in a lovely setting. But, the same 2 things happened to me that I read in this site before I went: I found blood in the room, not on the immaculate bedding, but on the curtain and in... More

This hotel is nice and the location is good, it is close to Firenze S.M.N station. But rooms are very small with no good view. They have free WIFI but it kept getting disconnected. You have to enter password again and again. Breakfast was just OK. We stayed in this hotel only one night and we were looking to have... More

Location is great, right by the Duomo and very close to everything else! There is a laundry mat right down the road for people traveling on long trips/ Very friendly and helpful staff. Clean room and facilities. The terrace is a wonderful view, but a bit crowed most of the time. Air worked great!

This hotel was booked by our travel agent and it was excellent. The hotel was centrally located (right around the corner from the Duomo) which made it convenient to walk to anywhere in Florence. The roof top bar has a great view but drinks are pricey. The people working at the front desk were the best! Very helpful with dinner... More

Staying in Duomo

Neighborhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
