We stayed there for a couple of days and this is a great hotel! Rooms are a bit small. but nice and clean!!! Its very central and you will be able to traverse the town very easily, making it an excellent choice! The front desk staff are very helpful and friendly - special thanks to Irene who made our stay... More

Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Rooftop bar was expensive but worth it for the views. The location couldn't be bettered. Room perhaps slightly on the small side but it is in the city centre and we could see the Duomo if we leant out of the window! Breakfast was average and it was disappointing that some items had run... More

We were given an upgrade on check-in and the room was huge, clean and neutral colours, the bathroom was also nicely designed. Staff were helpful and approachable, assisting us to book a trip and organised a take out breakfast for us. Didn't have a drink at the rooftop bar but took photos from up there and the views were amazing.... More

It's true, the rooms are much nicer than advertised. This place was luxurious and very clean but the staff are so rude. We were greeted snd checked in by Mirko who was so lovely. He really made us feel welcome and excited about our stay. However, after returning from a day out, my husband and I were stopped and interrogated... More

From the minute we arrived, we were taken care of and relaxed. Lisa at the front desk was always helpful and professional. The room was beautifully spacious ( I had a classic King) with a lovely bathroom - and a bathtub perfect for soaking at the end of the day! Best of all the room could be darkened with the... More

Don't be alarmed by the hype and the professional photos the Grand posts on their web-site. This hotel is actually much nicer than advertised, and very tastefully (if ecclectically) decorated. I stayed three nights at the Cavour; it is next door to the Bargello. I had a room facing away from the street, it was quiet and air-conditioning cool. I... More

Me and my husband are staying at his hotel in Florence for 4 nights end of September. I have read some of the reviews and sounds very nice. The roof top terrace looks wonderful. The buffet looks good as well. Hope the weather is still nice at this time of year, have never been to Europe in September. Just cant... More

The Grand Hotel Cavour is in desperate need of a refurbishment/ update. I recently visited and got stuck in the lift three times, and was left in the lift for over 10 minutes! The other people in the lift were so stressed and an elderly lady was seriously risking her health by being under such stress. Some people are severely... More

We only had one night in Florence and this hotel was perfect as it was in a great position. The girl at the desk, Irene was lovely, very friendly and helpful, she really helped us make the most of our time. The rooms were gorgeous and comfortable. The breakfast buffet offered a huge variety. We would stay here again.

Hotel Cavour - location, location, location!! Walking distance to all major attractions. Lovely roof top bar to enjoy pre-dimner drink; wonderful staff and great service. Rooms were a little on the small side - but when you travel in Europe this is expected. Shower is very small - particularly if you are talk. All in all, given its location we... More
