Great location being close to all main sites and shopping areas and easy to walk to in 10 minutes from railway station even with luggage. Room was sizeable as was bathroom and spotless and with shutters on at night - practically blacked out. Minibar provided but not a lot in it (certainly not what is shown on the menu) and... More

We stayed for 2 nights on a Gate1 tour and loved the location. Just a short walk to all the important sights. Many shops and restaurants nearby. Hotel was clean and service was good. Breakfast was so so. Room numbers were confusing.

The room was nice, although a little small, but it was clean and the beds were comfortable. The bathroom was clean and had a hair dryer and plenty of towels and toiletries. Also, there is free Wi-Fi, just ask the front desk for the password. All of the personnel were friendly and helpful. Stayed there for two nights and would... More

Initially, we were impressed with the foyer area - it does look grand. As we arrived before we could check in we left our bags with reception and headed out to see the sights, as that is what we were there for. After heading back to freshen up for dinner, we were taken to our allocated room...or shall I say... More

The hotel is in a great location within walking distance to the Duomo, Uffizi, Accademia, Ponte Vecchio, etc. The rooms have everything you need - comfortable bed, good power-shower, hairdryer, kettle w. tea and coffee, minibar, safe in the room, etc. All the members of staff that I came across (receptionists, breakfast staff, cleaning lady and porter) were very friendly,... We stayed at this hotel for three nights with friends, who had stayed there previously. We found everything to be perfectly adequate for a short stay. The rooms have all the usual amenities you would expect, including tea and coffee making facilities. Everything worked as it should including the a/c. The staff at Reception were lovely, very polite and helpful... More

Very well kept and the perfect Florence location for walking most places, only thing negative is the loud streets at night making sleep sometimes difficult, would recommend asking for a quiet room if possible. Very nice rooftop bar with great pic opportunities! Can't reiterate how great the location is, all tours start very close.

Stayed 4 nights and found this hotel to be extremely worthwhile for various reasons, amongst which is its close proximity to numerous places of interest such as the Duomo, Piazza Signoria, Uffizi, San Lorenzo markets, Sante Croce, Ponte Vechio, etc, etc. And one is spoilt for choice with reasonably priced restaurants, cafes, and shops everywhere you turn. Our standard plus... More

I did not enjoy my stay in this hotel at all, it afforded very poor value for money. For a supposedly classy hotel there were many issues with Hotel Cavour. The way the building is structured means bathrooms protrude in the adjacent rooms meaning you can hear your neighbours every intimate move. The rooms are extremely stuffy, however opening windows... our stay at the Grand Cavour hotel Florence for three nights was absolutely fabulous set close to the center and all the main sites, the view from the roof top terrace is outstanding. we had room 237 which was very comfortable, breakfast great, minibar in the room a little expensive so avoid it, staff very helpful, great hotel.
