Uncomfortable springy bed, no towels, very weak wifi in room, toilets and showers are not the cleanest, no fan what more aircond; if you look for comfort, look elsewhere. But the service was very good (prompt reply to emails), friendly owners, conveniently located - 3mins from the main station (Firence Santa Maria Novella) and between 5-10mins walk to the main... Ok, here's the deal. Pros: Location (5ish minute walking from SM Novella Train Station) and 10ish minutes walking from Duomo, friendly manager!, free Wi-fi, clean bathrooms, reasonable rate. Cons: Lacking ambience and common area, possible security issues (open windows at night in room, 1 key per room which hangs in the hall). I felt safe and secure in this hostel... More

It was a terrible experience to stay at this hostel with no fan and air-condition. The dorms are tiny and shared toilets were not clean at all. The Internet connection was feaking weak in some rooms except the common area. The common area is small with very dim lights. The bathroom and toilet are shared by seven dorms and thus,... More

This hotel is a great value for money. It is practically five minutes away from Santa Maria Novella station and the Duomo. There is Wi-Fi in the corridor. The manager was very friendly, he kept the place clean. He gave us a map and told us about good places to see in the city. I would go stay there again.... More

We stayed at Hotel Armonia last year for 4 nights. It's very close to the train station (about a 5 min walk) and the man at the front desk was extremely nice and helpful. He gave us a map and circled must see places for us. The hotel has communal computer where you can use the internet for free which... More

We checked in here for one night last week, the owner was very friendly and gave us a cheap last minute price. Got back to the UK last night to be AWOKEN by horrible itchy welts all over my skin.We didn't notice anything in the hotel but i feel a bit gross about it now, the mattresses were an age... More

The good thing was, it was near the train station and there was wifi. We got the 1 room for just the 3 of us. BUT, the first thing you'd see are bed bugs crawling the walls and the sheets. We ripped off the bed with their beddings and laid our sleeping bags. The toilets were not nice as well.... More

Staying in San Lorenzo

Neighborhood Profile
San Lorenzo
San Lorenzo’s lively merchants shout out from behind stalls with an array of products in one of the most traditional neighborhoods in Florence. Different ethnic groups join together in the large outdoor market of San Lorenzo and in the Central Market, a vast multi-floored building. Visitors are bound to fall in love with this area and in particular, with its variety of food, especially those focusing on Florentine dishes as well as international selections. Nobody leaves San Lorenzo without a shopping bag in hand or with an empty stomach.
