Great location, close to shops/cafes. We arrived after a long travel from Rome, it was quite easy to find from the train station. The lovely person on reception gave us the wifi password and some fresh orange juice. Although check-in wasn't until later, we were allowed to leave our suitcases in the reception whilst we went out and explored. When... More

Hello Jessicanu, Thank you for your words. Is always a big pleasure to have a nice guest like you. I'm sorry if you disappointed for the room, but we edit on booking.com all the pictures for every room. Otherwise i hope to see you again to show you the same room after the renovation works that we will make during... More

I booked at this hotel and after booking I read some of the awful things people wrote,in fact I was trying to find another hotel so I can cancel my booking. We arrived at the hotel on Tuesday afternoon and were welcomed like old friend by the reception staff, offered tea (which is a grand thing in Italy) and given... More

We stayed here for 2 nights in July and to be really honest, we wouldn't recommend it. The room smelt like cigarette smoke the whole time we were there and when we asked to move rooms, the owner just sprayed some toilet spray and assumed that would help. The noise from the road was really loud, but to make matters... More

Great location, really nice hotel and, best of all, breakfast in bed. The hotel is really close to all the attractions and santa maria novella. The hotel is budget friendly but still its really nice. The staff goes above and beyond to help out.

The hotel is in a super location, 5 minutes walk (with cases) from the station and airport bus drop off point, near to the Mercato Centrale with the major sights within easy walking distance. There is a good supermarket near the station, on the way to the hotel. The rooms are clean with good facilities and have air-conditioning. The breakfast... More

The location is good. The hotel is hidden a building near to the main train station. (Look for "Hotel Derby", as no visible sign of this place could be seen at the entrance) But as it's in the city centre, it could be really noisy at night (bar on the street). We asked for a room not facing the main... More

We have stayed at this location for 3 nights. It is the worse correlation of price/quality I have ever seen. The only advantage is proximity to City Center and SMN Train Station. The breakfast is served in the room. You have to stipulate the hour you would like to have breakfast at and you are waken up in the morning... More

This hotel was perfect for what we needed it for - all we needed was a bed to sleep in really. It was basic but clean and very well located. The bathroom was a decent size, although our room was a little small, but, as I say, fit for purpose! Finding it wasn't that difficult - again I'd read reviews... More

Staying in San Lorenzo

Neighborhood Profile
San Lorenzo
San Lorenzo’s lively merchants shout out from behind stalls with an array of products in one of the most traditional neighborhoods in Florence. Different ethnic groups join together in the large outdoor market of San Lorenzo and in the Central Market, a vast multi-floored building. Visitors are bound to fall in love with this area and in particular, with its variety of food, especially those focusing on Florentine dishes as well as international selections. Nobody leaves San Lorenzo without a shopping bag in hand or with an empty stomach.
