We were really looked after well by the family, who carried our heavy bags up the stairs, and down again when we left. We couldn't work out the buses, and ended up getting a taxi from the train, which was fine. Great location just across the bridge, but walking distance to everything. Air conditioning, great breakfast, comfortable rooms, helpful staff.... More

We greatly enjoyed our stay at this B&B! Location was perfect - on the other side of the bridge from the touristy sites, so it was more quiet and charming, and perfect to walk around and explore the cafe's and restaurants. We walked from the train station to the B&B, which was a bit of a walk but totally doable... More

We were made very welcome at Beatrice by Francesca and her mum. We stayed in the Apollo room with en suite and balcony. Loved the Oltrano district, so glad we stayed here away from the hustle and bustle. After a busy day it seemed so peaceful and chilled. Yes, there are steps up to the room, but this did not... More

This B and B is a great family business, with very helpful and friendly staff. The rooms and bathrooms are clean with good facilities. Breakfast is good, especially the selection of home made jam. The B and B is located in oltrano which is the opposite side of the river. Slightly more quiet and traditional side of florence. 5 mins... More

This was our 4th time staying at Beatrice. As always, it was absolutely wonderful. The hot breakfast has everything we like: eggs, fruit, cereal, meat, cheese, bread, toast, and most importantly, coffee any way you want it! The rooms are comfy and not cramped like some big cities. The location is just around the corner from the Santa Maria Nouvella... More

Beatrice B+B was perfect for us in every way. Located south of the Arno River in the quieter part of Florence, the area has many nice cafes, shops and artist workshops. The Boboli Gardens are close by and are a wonderful place to visit. Nearby cross the Ponte Vecchio and walk to many of the major highlights. The family of... More

This was exactly the place we were looking for. Florence is not a huge town, and is 100% walkable, so don't be dissuaded by the fact that it is south of the the river. It's a mere 10-15 minute walk to some of the best places in Florence, and is in a much more quiet, less touristy area than places... More

This place is simply the perfect base in which to explore Florence. In terms of value for money it is unbeatable. The only reason I could find for this place not being more expensive was that you had to walk up about 30 steps to get to your room, which for anyone not disabled and under 60 shouldn't be a... More

My husband and I traveled throughout Italy, and we stayed in 6 b&bs all with 4 1/2 ratings on tripadvisor or better and all approximately the same price. Despite our stay here being the only one without ensuite bathroom (still perfectly private and directly next to the room..the others have ensuite for a few dollars moe), we still felt that... More

Firstly the steps are substantial and steep. You need to be fit enough to climb them. If you are, you will be well rewarded. Beautiful, spacious rooms, comfortable beds and the best wifi connection we have had in Italy. We loved the Oltarno area, away from the hoards of other people. Gusta Pizza (yum) And Opera at St Marks (very... More
