Location is excellent. Arrived by train and 15 minutes later we were settled in hotel. The walk to the main sightseeing area was easy and Florence was stunning. We found a good restaurant close by hotel. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was typical Italian. Once the street activity closed the place was quiet and peaceful. good value for... Cicerone is excellently located - close to the railway station and in easy walking distance of main places of interest. Close by there are many restaurants and shops. The room we had was spacious, clean and comfortable. The en-suite had been squeezed in so it was a bit small but OK. Breakfast was excellent - a huge choice of high... More

Very friendly and honest host, she's very kind. Free luggage storage provided. Breakfast is good, free of charge. WIFI is strong and fast enough. It is close to central station, about 10 minutes walk. I read some reviews prior to make my booking. Someone complained about the noise and claimed it felt like sleep in the street, I thought that... We arrived by train at night and the accommodation was probably about ten minutes walk from the station. The street was easy to find but because of the peculiar numbering system on buildings finding the exact location of the guest house was a little challenging. Be aware red numbers are for businesses and blue numbers are for residences. The accommodation... More

+: Owner is very friendly and she kindly and promptly reacted to my request. -: Well, it was bit hard to find the guesthouse as it is on the 2nd floor of a building. Would it be nicer if they told me more detailed check-in process.

We stayed in Florence for 2 nights. The first night, there was an issue with our booking ( with no fault of the hotel owner); by the time we got there for check-in at 10:00 Pm, the guest house was completely full. But the lady who owns this guest house and her son were super helpful. They helped us find... More

This guesthouse is small, only a few rooms, but very clean and well cared for. The owner, a very kind lady, is helpfull and provides a nice breakfast in the morning. The accomodation is located in the city center, only a few minutes walk from the tourist attractions. For this price you will not find a better place to stay!... More

We only stayed one night but it was fantastic. The Guest House is 5 minutes from the train station, 5 minutes from L'Accademia, and 10 minutes from the city center. The rooms are not huge, but not tiny, breakfast was terrific, the service was great, the price was great, and we were able to leave bags to pick up later... More

We stayed here for three nights during our Italy vacation and overall we liked it. This place is not a hotel but european-style B&B so adjust your expectations accordingly. Location is good, walking distance from train station and major tourist attractions. Our room was facing the street (via Nazionale) and it was quite noisy, sometimes even during the night. Breakfast... More

Staying in San Lorenzo

Neighborhood Profile
San Lorenzo
San Lorenzo’s lively merchants shout out from behind stalls with an array of products in one of the most traditional neighborhoods in Florence. Different ethnic groups join together in the large outdoor market of San Lorenzo and in the Central Market, a vast multi-floored building. Visitors are bound to fall in love with this area and in particular, with its variety of food, especially those focusing on Florentine dishes as well as international selections. Nobody leaves San Lorenzo without a shopping bag in hand or with an empty stomach.
