Originally built in 1505 as a palace, this hotel certainly is an authentic Firenze experience! A short cab ride from train station and located on the Piazza Santo Spirito with fabulous Florence views. Our room was exactly as pictured with the most amazing ceiling and huge wooden doors that opened to a balcony, where we enjoyed listening to the church... More

We stayed in Florence for a week and chose the Palazzo Guadagni on the recommendation of friends who stayed there earlier in the year. It is a short taxi ride from the airport and the taxi is a flat fare of 20 euros plus 5 euros tax. The hotel enjoys a great location, in the Piazza Santo Spirito which has... More

This hotel, located around the corner from the Pitti Palace, is a wonder with its spacious rooms, beautiful reception rooms, and rooftop terrace. It is perfectly located on the Piazza Santo Spirito, away from the bustle of central Florence and yet still within walking distance of everything one would want to do in the city. We stayed two nights --... More

The location is perfect for really experiencing Firenze. Quiet but surrounded by wonderful small shops and Trattorias, a quick walk to the city center. The Hotel is on the top floors, but no fear, there is a lift. The Veranda overlooks Piazza Spirito Santo. Great spot to sit and relax. The piazza had a market all three days we were... More

We stayed in Florence two nights and wish we had planned more time there. This hotel has an amazing terrace with beautiful views. The rooms are sizable and the breakfast gives a great start to the day. The location is great for those who do not want to be in the middle of the touristy section of Florence but within... More

Nice hotel, reasonable position. Service not as good as we have experienced elsewhere in Italy. We had a beatiful room with wonderful views but the level hospitality was only ok. The best part of this hotel is the veranda/terrace - fabulous for a glass of wine late in the afternoon. Wifi wouldn't work for us

Very unassuming from the outside, but inside its like going back in time. This place was great - the room was spacious and had a lovely view of the Duomo. The terrace is spectacular. This is a very charming hotel if you want to be slightly away from the crowds. (I strongly prefer this side of the river!) The piazza... More

We stayed at Palazzo Guadagni for 15 days this September (2015). We'd agree that it was the happiest holiday we have had - in 40 years of marriage and travel all over the world. We know Florence well and we enjoyed its central location and the wonderful historic building. I asked to see a number of rooms. Each has great... More

We stayed for a week. It was most delightful. The hotel rooms are very quiet, facing inward onto a courtyard. There is a wonderful loggia on which one can sip wine. coffee etc. and take in the view and sounds of the city. Everyday, there was a market taking place on S. Spirito square, immediately outside the hotel. Lots of... More

The hotel is an old palace which has a decadent look that makes it interesting and comfortable. The bathrooms are quite alright, and the bedrooms as well -big, and practical-. However, the bed linen needs an urgent renewal and our room in particular was not particularly bright. Other than that, the hotel is great for couples not wanting to spend... More
