We just spent a few nights while visiting Florence. You are right in the heart of things here which makes it a great place to stay. Veronica was very nice at check in giving us alot of information on what to see and where to go. The only detractor for this location is the nightly noise outside the window. They... More

I stayed at the Residence martin B&B over easter weekend. The location is brilliant, EVERYTHING is so close, 5 minutes walk to the Duomo, leather markets right at your door step. If you are arriving from Pisa by Train or Bus its a 10 minute walk to Residence Martin B&B. My hosts couldn't be more accommodating, I stayed in a... More

I stayed at Martin's Residence B&B for six nights. I enjoyed Florence thanks to their hospitality. The location is terrific. It is about a seven-minute walk to the train station and the airport bus. It is across the street from Mercato Centrale. The Duomo and the Accademia are about an eight-minute walk. As a matter of fact I walk to... More

Gabriel - Nicest man in the world, would give you the shirt off ur back if it would make you happy and not think twice about it (seriously). He's the absolute perfect host with so much energy and passion with everything he does. Every guest we met was very kind and all agreed Gabriel one of a kind. His beautiful... More

Only 1 hour from Pisa airport, by train to Florence. Short walk from the train station.Very central . We had a very warm welcome, and was shown around and given information and a map. Our room was on the front, lovely large bed. The towels and bedding were very good quality. Our on-suite was very modern. Great shower! The apartment... More

The B&B is located on the same street of the San Lorenzo market, which unfolds early every morning making a lot of noise. Other than that, the location is right in the historical center and everything is within walking distance. The room was large and clean and very comfortable. There is a kitchen so you can prepare your own food.... More

If you are looking for a place to lay your head after a day's walking in Florence, this is the best place to go. Rooms are located in an old house inside the historical part of the city, 5 min walk from the railway station and 5 min. walk to the Medici's Chapel. Across the street there is Piazza Centrale... I stayed for two days at Martin B&B I was totally satisfied with the service. The room was quiet and clean. My room had a private bathroom where I could smell the cleanser and it was obvious that it was recently built. Veronica gave me some very useful information on a map about the main sites of Florence that she made... More

My good friend and I stayed here for 6 days in late October; it was perfect for our needs. Veronica and Nycolas were perfect hosts; their apartment is a floor above the B&B flat, so they are close if we needed them (which we didn't) but they weren't around constantly. The location is fantastic: very close to the train station,... More

We stayed here for 5 nights. Veronica and Nicholas were perfect hosts! We checked in late in the night but Veronica met us promptly. She also gave us a map of Florence and pointed out the various sites and how to get there. When I was first looking into this B&B, they responded to my emails and questions so quickly... More

Staying in San Lorenzo

Neighborhood Profile
San Lorenzo
San Lorenzo’s lively merchants shout out from behind stalls with an array of products in one of the most traditional neighborhoods in Florence. Different ethnic groups join together in the large outdoor market of San Lorenzo and in the Central Market, a vast multi-floored building. Visitors are bound to fall in love with this area and in particular, with its variety of food, especially those focusing on Florentine dishes as well as international selections. Nobody leaves San Lorenzo without a shopping bag in hand or with an empty stomach.
