Beautiful view on Santa Maria Novella, cute red interiors, kind treatment, nice people, elegant breakfast area, large and confortable rooms: over the top for a 3 stars and price was the lowest in city among the reasonable ones with good quality

First thing of note was that Hotel Rosso 23 doesn't exist anymore (which we did not know) and so it took some time finding it, via the Garibaldi Blu entrance which is now adjoined to the former Rosso 23. The two hotels together seemed eerie, empty vast spaces, dark high ceilings, rickety old elevator. The room was a disappointment. Very... More

Great hotel also known as the Ghia Blue hotel it is centrally located near the leather and meat market in the Santa Maria square less than 2.5 blocks from the rail, rooms were spacious, clean and well priced, breakfast was included and very good. I would recommend this hotel.

Great location!! Very cool hotel with Palm trees made from tires in the lobby and batman hanging out in the hall. Clean cozy rooms. Shower was very small so be sure to shave your legs before you arrive. I am only 5'1" 120 pounds and had to use caution maneuvering in the shower. Breakfast was very good with choices. The... More

The name of the hotel was no longer the Rosso 23 it is now called the Garibaldi Blu. The hotel was excellent with very helpful and friendly staff and very central. The room was exactly as it looked in the travel agent. It is set in the lovely Piazza Santa Maria Novella. In the evening the Piazza had street musicians... More

This hotel is joint onto Garibaldi Blu hotel, which I think might be the slightly nicer bigger sister to the Rosso 23, but you use the same communal areas and have the same breakfast and guest staying in the Garibaldi Blu but you are no means feel like you are missing out. Well maybe you do when if comes to... More

My husband and I stayed at Rosso 23 Florence for three nights in April 2015. The hotel is centrally located in Piazza Maria Novella, walking distance from the train station and attractions. Rooms are spacious and modern, good breakfast.

I've read the reviews, and fortunately, we found the hotel to be really nice. We were two people--and got room 115--which is one of only two rooms (I think) that has a door out to the balcony overlooking Piazza Santa Maria Novella, which we loved. The room was large, the bathroom was very nice--and very adequate in size, with a... More

Located downtown in an historical Building next to santa maria novella, is really near to the most popular attraction. The service and the room was lovely. The only problem we got was the terrible smell in the room. Perfect and very good breakfast

Stayed at the Rosso 23 or as it is now known as Garibaldi Blu for five nights. The location is very central and close to the railway station. The staff were pleasant and helpful. Shower was very small and bathroom was pokey. Breakfast was average, nothing fancy. Was unable to regulate the temperature of the room. Overall the stay was... More
