Stayed in July for three nights with two other friends (all female aged 20) and had a wonderful stay! When we arrived we couldn't believe how beautiful the building was for the price we paid. The B&B is situated in a lovely area of Florence, and we couldn't have wished for a better location. Alan greeted us upon arrival and... More

We were able to check in early and was greeted by the owner who was super helpful and knowledgable about Florence. It's a 2 minute walk from bus stop that comes directly from the airport. It's a 15 min walk to the city center. It's very quiet where it's located. There no AC but they have a fan. The rooms... More

This place has a perfect location. A little away from the tourist hell, but still 10-15 min. walk from everything. You have (from some of the rooms) a view over the lake and you can see the whole city rising -amazing! And the building is beautiful and historic. The staff is the nicest i have ever met, there is very... More

As a solo traveller I loved this B&B and I felt incredibly safe. Alain and Letizia were so helpful and very accommodating, and quite relaxed upon my check-out about me enjoying the terrace before my train. My favourite part was upon my arrival when Letizia provided me with a map and marked out the best route to each monument/site of... More

We had an excellent stay at Letizia's B&B. Communicating with her and her husband was easy and helpful. Letizia made sure to be there when we were arriving. She gave a thorough description of everything in the B&B that may have been useful for us, as well as a great guide of what to do in Florence. The room was... More

Based on the number of positive reviews, I was looking forward to staying at this B&B. Maybe I was expecting too much, but I was really quite disappointed in this property. I will start with the positive aspects. The location is fantastic. You can't get much better than this. It is far enough away from the heart of the city... More

Hi, Thanks for your review and to be honest, we are surprised at it. We respect each one’s opinion, but we think there is some confusing part hereby. One should be disappointed if he didn’t receive what was promised or what he originally booked. Let’s look at your case, you’ve received more than what you’ve booked: We have got a... More

This was a fantastic B and B with the added excellence of a fantastic host Alain. I emailed him directly before our stay and he could not have been more helpful, directions, bus advice, train advice and museum booking advice. While we were at the hotel he was just as helpful. Giving us a guided tour and helping us with... More

Alain is most wonderful. He gave us a perfect introduction to the place and the check in experience was the best I've ever received. Far better than at the famous-for-service Indian full service hotels. The recommended dinner and lunch places offered authentic Italian food that simply enhanced the experience. The place itself was wonderfully located...river flowing right in front, Duomo... More

The location of this B & B is wonderful - on the south side of the Arno, across the river from the Uffizi, near the Ponte Vecchio, and easily accessible from the train station by city bus. The rooms are large with great views. Alain was very helpful both before our arrival and once we were there with a variety... More

Great place to stay right across from the Uffici Gallery, close to everything. Location was perfect for touring the city. Odor in parlor area did not get to our room, but sewage odor is a problem all over Florence as sewers are not properly vented. There are 65 steps, (one for every year, I've lived on this earth), are a... More

Staying in Pitti

Neighborhood Profile
Pitti
Pitti is a neighborhood characterized by art and history. Renaissance architecture such as Pitti Palace, which houses five museums alone, introduces visitors to the green lungs of spectacular Boboli Gardens. Any visitor can wander through statues, fountains, and panoramic viewpoints. Around the garden, treasures like the Museum of Natural History of the Specola and Villa Bardini guide guests through Florence as the cradle of the Renaissance. End the day with an aperitif in Piazza della Passera or the more romantic Forte di Belvedere, which offers an amazing panoramic view of the entire city.
