Went with friends for 21st birthday. Made a reservation by the window, which was definitely worth it. The view was of the Arno was amazing. We ate aperitivo. For drinks we ordered the number 3 and 4. They were delicious! The food was various cheeses, olives, and tomatoes. They gave us a sample of some chicken in a tasty cream... More

Here for a meal on a Saturday night last week. Emailed a reservation ahead of time and asked for a window view which was exactly what we got. Very friendly staff and service and we thought the food was very good. The florentine steak was the perfect size for two of us and cooked just how we asked. They do... More

The place is nice for quick lunch - mostly fish with the bridge view. In summer choose the table inside due to AC. The food is ok but nothing to write home about. I would recommend it for a quick lunch if you would like to have a bridge view. Don't expect much thought

The ambiance and atmosphere is quite nice and the service was friendly enough. It was when we received our food that we were let down. Way over salted and basic cuisine. Our host had to send back his over salted food and they kindly obliged. If you have the cash to blow and don't care of your food is great... More

Beautiful view to the Arno river and Ponte Vecchio bridge. Food and service was in real five star experience. They also have live jazz music that made the visit Perfect. Our best meal and evening in Florence was at the Golden view restaurant and open bar. Highly recommended!

This restaurant had a beautiful view if the ponte vecchio and Arno river at night. It's a trendy atmosphere with great food, friendly staff, and wonderful dining experience. Try the florentine steak (they charge by kilos) and the risotto del mare.

I visited the golden view with a few friends on a university trip. The staff were excellent seating us next to the jazz band in our own private area whilst serving free canapes. The cocktails were delicious and well priced at 8 euros. I would definitely recommend the golden view if not for the view, for the cocktails.

Stunning location and worth visiting the bar for a drink (service is slow so allow extra time). But the food is unexceptional in the restaurant. Again, the staff are fine but it takes time to get their attention and we needed to ask for things like more drinks and the bill twice.

this restaurant has a wonderful location on the river just down from the old bridge. We arrived with no reservation but were seated by the window understanding that there was a reservation there at 8:45 which gave us a good two hours to enjoy. They opened the window to let in the lovely evening breeze. Our waiter gave us excellent... More

The best fish I've had in my entire life (and I grew up in Greece!). Absolutely magnificent food, view, and service. The Serbian waiter (Sasa?) was attentive, very knowledgable and helpful, and friendly. Gave us some amazing food and wine recommendations. The live music is a great touch as well. The best place for special occassions.

Staying in Pitti

Neighborhood Profile
Pitti
Pitti is a neighborhood characterized by art and history. Renaissance architecture such as Pitti Palace, which houses five museums alone, introduces visitors to the green lungs of spectacular Boboli Gardens. Any visitor can wander through statues, fountains, and panoramic viewpoints. Around the garden, treasures like the Museum of Natural History of the Specola and Villa Bardini guide guests through Florence as the cradle of the Renaissance. End the day with an aperitif in Piazza della Passera or the more romantic Forte di Belvedere, which offers an amazing panoramic view of the entire city.
