We stayed in the La Dimora degli Angeli for the first night of our arrival in Florence, great location with only 10-15 mins walking from the train station. Our room is nice and the common area is well equipped with coffee machine, great variety of teas and fruits. Upon your arrival, the staff walks u through the b&b in detail,... More

Although we booked the Dimora Degli Angeli, we actually stayed at the Dimora del Centro, after checking in at the Dimora Degli Angeli on via Brunelleschi, which was just a minute’s walk away. Very helpful receptionist explained the setup, recommended an excellent restaurant (Trattoria Marione) and took us to our residence. Didn’t see any staff after that, but then we... More

B&B La Dimora del Centro is all about location! A great place to enjoy all the Florence has to offer. What a great city! But La Dimora del Centro has room for improvement. There was only warm water - not hot and not cold. The shower was tiny, too small for one person! The bathroom was also very small but... More

Great B&B, centrally located in the heart of Florence. Nice clean rooms, and walking distance from everywhere. The only negative was that you get a breakfast voucher to be used at one of two coffee shops. The one coffee shop titled RED was very unfriendly and shows to pass us over in favor of customers paying with euros. The other... More

We had a fantastically charming B&B with a great view of the Piazza and really enjoyed the personal decorated rooms. The almost sound proof windows worked and even though there where full activity in the square late at night we weren’t disturbed at all. Will be back for sure :-)

My recent trip to Florence was my fifth in four years and this is the third time I have stayed at La Dimora del Centro. From this you will gather I love the city and the B&B. The location is perfect with views of the Duomo from the windows. The rooms are so well and stylishly equipped. The provision of... More

I spent 2 nights at this property in early February. Check in is at their sister property 2 blocks away. Everyone of staff there was very kind, and Roberta in particular was most helpful in answering questions and locating things on a map for me. As other's here have said, the location is superb, you can walk to any place... More

The B&B is a little tricky to find, but the rental office staff are very helpful. The office is in a different location than the actual B&B, but it's a short walk. The room is right in the center of town, a great location for all site seeing! Clean , spacious and inviting. there is no breakfast on-site, but the... More

Staying in Duomo

Neighborhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
