Right in the centre of the city, close to the Duomo cathedral. The room was cozy and clean and the management really helpful and friendly. There is a coffee machine and free ice cream in the lobby. Great restaurant opposite for when you are exhausted from all the sight seeing. Great value for money.

We stayed here on a recommendation from a friend and were so pleased. It's less than a minute from the Duomo and one street up from San Lorenzo and the market! It allowed us to drop of stuff during the day, nip back for a quick free coffee and sit down and was a brilliant base for sightseeing. Our room... More

We had great stay in Tourist House Ricci. It is located right next (just a block) to Duomo, 10 min walking distance from Train Sta. In fact, everything can be done by walking. The host was very nice and insightfull, free coffee and gelato (icecream) was fantastic. When we go back to Florence, we would like to stay here again!... More

Good things first. The staff is friendly and the location is amazing. You can see the baptistery from the door of the place. But the good stuff ends there... Terrible terrible terrible shower!! One day the water was even cold! No wifi in the room (we were told that they were about to fix it. We spent a week there... More

I chronically over-rate on reviews so this probably should be a poor rating, but I will let the reader decide. The room was nice and spacious and the cleaning staff very friendly. However, the manager was not prepared for our arrival, despite an agreed on time. Had it not been for the housekeepers, we would have likely been left out... More

First of all, I'm an Italian resident who has come to Florence on more occasions than I can easily count, both for business and pleasure. I have had nothing but AWFUL experiences in accommodations and this time I'm delighted to say that I was totally blown away by how great my experience was! I went to Florence just after Christmas... House Ricci is not a hotel, it is a B&B, so remember that. If you plan on sightseeing, this is the place. The staff is friendly, allowes us to check in upon arrival (at 10), free water and expressos in lobby.. (Anyone who has been to Europe knows how expensive water and sodas are!) Ricci is a little outdated, but... More

This is our first time to travel Florence. The location is good, however, not very easy to find. Probably it is a tourist house in the first floor of an old building, there is no sign in the front of the building. Anyway, as long as you can find it, you will find it very convenient. It's just next to... More

The Tourist House Vittorio Ricci is a short 50 yards from the Florence Cathedral (Duomo) and the Baptistry. The hotel is at the start of a pedestrian walkway that used to be a main street....you can walk all the way to the Medici palace. Also, a short walk in the other direction from the hotel, gets you to the Academie... More

The hosts were very welcoming and helpful and the location is outstanding for seeing historic Florence. The room was clean and adequate but was not very comfortable for relaxing in the afternoon when the feet needed a rest and the body needed Chianti(s). Our room only had half a window, which faced the wall of another building and did not... More
