This apartment is the best in Florence in all aspects: the location, it is just walking distance to the Duomo and strategically located near Accademia Gallery and Uffizi Gallery and all shopping areas, the price is very reasonable as it has 3 big bedrooms which can accomodate 6 guests, and the interior is clean wth very good wifi, the staff... On arrival there is a telephone number on the wall outside for you to ring, someone then let's you in..very welcoming. Rooms are great, but being an historical building there is not a lot of sound proofing. As a light sleeper I heard constant noise..the location is fabulous near to all the main tourist attractions.. Free wifi. Free tea, coffee, water and... More

We were in Florence for 2 days and we stayed at the Tourist House Ricci wich is really well located 2 steps from the Duomo. The room was clean and quiet and the staff was really helpful. We've enjoyed our stay very much and we'd rent a room again!

Everything is on your doorstep here, and all the big sights within 10 min walk (duomo, statue of David etc etc). When we arrived we were welcomed warmly and given EXCELLENT recommendations on what to do, where to go (and where not to go), where to eat and of course most importantly where the best (and not ridiculously priced) gelato... Amazing location! Practically right next to the Duomo and you are able to get to all the main attractions easily. Greeted on arrival at the front door and lead up to reception where they were kind enough to take time to tell me in detail about Florence and all the things that were on offer. The room itself was perfect.... More

Great location! Near the Duomo, Il Mercato, Ponte Vecchio...you get to all main attractions really fast. Clean, modern, and spaced apartment. Has a kitchen. Very recommended for a family of 4. The service was very good. We had a great time in Florence.

Tourist House Ricci offers only 7 rooms and our family group had 6 of the 7 for 3 nights. Two rooms had kitchenettes. We could keep things in those frigs and fix a meal if we chose. It was across the street for a great little place to eat and an Eataly shop for snacks, yogurt, everything. The staff was... More

I enjoyed staying here. The duomo is 2 minutes walk and so are the shopping areas. There is Eataly across with various restaurants right across. I was on a budget trip, so I used to take away their Genovese pizza..excellent and cheap. Decent (budget) places to eat all around. The rooms were good, wifi was excellent. There is a coffee... Brilliant location a few minutes from Duomo. Made it very easy to get to our hotel from the station, and get around. Stayed one night so worked well for us. Only 2 minutes to the start of our walking tour (Walks Inside Florence - very good). No sit down breakfast. It would be nice to start the day well. We... More

Location fantastic, very reasonably priced a few odd features with checking in - keep your eyes pealed for the entrance to the hotel, it's not obvious! Very clean, modern and for a few days exploring in Florence this is an excellent base you get what you pay for. Great cafes nearby for breakfast.

Staying in San Lorenzo

Neighborhood Profile
San Lorenzo
San Lorenzo’s lively merchants shout out from behind stalls with an array of products in one of the most traditional neighborhoods in Florence. Different ethnic groups join together in the large outdoor market of San Lorenzo and in the Central Market, a vast multi-floored building. Visitors are bound to fall in love with this area and in particular, with its variety of food, especially those focusing on Florentine dishes as well as international selections. Nobody leaves San Lorenzo without a shopping bag in hand or with an empty stomach.
