Perfect location. Owners were very helpful and friendly. Air conditioned and spacious room. Perfect for our family stay in Florence. Very close to shops, supermarkets and laundry service. Impossible to get lost. Just find the Duomo and you are home. Guido's hot chocolate was a hit with the kids. My coffee was delicious. Will definitely return and recommend to friends.

This is right next to duomo and within 5-10 minutes walking for most attractions. It is so convenient that you can have a wash of your face in between two museums. You can also go back to your room for a short break after the attractions and before dinner. Shopping can be done with items bought carried to your room... More

Our family of four has stayed in Al Duomo B and B for 3 nights. The location is very convenient, the place is clean and comfortable, the breakfast is excellent. Did not have any problems whatsoever. Would definitely return without any reservations.

Our group of four adults and four children stayed here June 2015. The location is as good as it gets: less than a block from the Duomo and within walking distance of EVERYTHING. The B&B is located in one of the tallest palazzos in the city giving breathtaking views of the surroundings and one of the best of the Duomo... More

Stayed here in June for 2 nights with my family of 4 and found the room on the 4th floor very nicely decorated, clean and spacious. It has a king-sized bed and a sofa bed which adequately sleeps 2. However bring your own toiletteries as the ones provided were in satchets and quite impossible to use. There were coffee-making facilities... More

I stayed here April 1-4, 2015 and had a solo room. If you're not claustrophobic, you'd find their solo room to be really quaint and cozy. Still, you get to have your own private bathroom, but you just need to step out of the room to reach it. For those carrying a big luggage like I did, the place is... More

This B&B is close to lots of shopping and Academia museum, within walking distance, but quite a ways from the airport. It is walking distance from the train station. We arrived around 1pm and there was no staff available to let us into the building (4th floor). I advise that you call in advance if you know your arrival time... More

We stayed at the Al Duomo apartment for 16 days during December and thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. We arrived in Rome after a very long flight and then travelled through to Florence by road (we had a driver) as the day we arrived there was a train strike. We rang Mariagioconda when we arrived to let her know of... More

Location.location.location. Florence is not a big city and you can walk everywhere from Al Duomo. Rooms are fine. Staff excellent and helpful. The best thing about this hotel is the breakfast room. It is not in a windowless area, but on the top floor with a terrace. You can begin your day with coffee and a view of the Duomo... More

Let me begin by saying we are seasoned travelers, and I worked in the hotel and resort industry for over ten years. This hotel is a true gem! Staying in Duomo

    Neighborhood Profile
    Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
