Room was spacious with a super large bed - on suite bath-room was prefabricated and very small located in corner of room (a bit like a static van set up) but OK Location very good with effective double glazing. Breakfast was very poor -same everyday - brittle toast and over done croissant with mini jam selection. Over all disappointed with... More

You are greeted by Guido and Mariagioconda. We had a very nice apartment with a seating area with view of the Duomo. Guido and Maria provide you with a very good orientation of the area along with a map and will answer any questions you have about Florence. They go beyond the call of duty. Maria is just out of... Maria and Guido our hostess and host were welcoming and helpful. Only slight criticism was breakfast, was hoping for some fruit in Italy but a croissant was the order of the day. Coffee delicious though.

Perfect location. Owners were very helpful and friendly. Air conditioned and spacious room. Perfect for our family stay in Florence. Very close to shops, supermarkets and laundry service. Impossible to get lost. Just find the Duomo and you are home. Guido's hot chocolate was a hit with the kids. My coffee was delicious. Will definitely return and recommend to friends.

This is right next to duomo and within 5-10 minutes walking for most attractions. It is so convenient that you can have a wash of your face in between two museums. You can also go back to your room for a short break after the attractions and before dinner. Shopping can be done with items bought carried to your room... More

Our family of four has stayed in Al Duomo B and B for 3 nights. The location is very convenient, the place is clean and comfortable, the breakfast is excellent. Did not have any problems whatsoever. Would definitely return without any reservations.

Our group of four adults and four children stayed here June 2015. The location is as good as it gets: less than a block from the Duomo and within walking distance of EVERYTHING. The B&B is located in one of the tallest palazzos in the city giving breathtaking views of the surroundings and one of the best of the Duomo... More

Stayed here in June for 2 nights with my family of 4 and found the room on the 4th floor very nicely decorated, clean and spacious. It has a king-sized bed and a sofa bed which adequately sleeps 2. However bring your own toiletteries as the ones provided were in satchets and quite impossible to use. There were coffee-making facilities... More

I stayed here April 1-4, 2015 and had a solo room. If you're not claustrophobic, you'd find their solo room to be really quaint and cozy. Still, you get to have your own private bathroom, but you just need to step out of the room to reach it. For those carrying a big luggage like I did, the place is... More

Staying in Duomo

Neighborhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
