For 16 euro/payed for one night it was not a very nice stay . This hotel is in urgent need of disinfection. We booked a room for B&B Adre , we got room in Hotel Veneto. We stayed in a room with 3 beds, downstairs, maybe -the cleanest room in this hostel: clean beds, sheets; after 3 days , they... More

We stayed at the B&B Adre in late August 09. Just because we read some reviews we did know that the reception is in the Hotel Veneto. Without knowing this, you don't have a real chance to find the hostel! Staff: At the arrival, the staff was very unfriendly, we felt like they were "disturbed" from arriving guests. They rather... A couple friends and I toured Europe this summer, and this was by FAR the worst place we stayed at during our entire trip! For starters, the hostel was impossible to find. The directions we were sent were very unclear - the only thing we understood was that we had to take a bus to Piazza San Marco. We ended... More

..and who knows what else was in the bed we had. DO NOT STAY HERE!!! AVOID B&B ADRE AT ALL COSTS!!!! My friend found the first bug on one of the pillows and not having looked closely at it, she flicked it away thinking it was nothing. I later found another (or perhaps the same one?) one on top of... We highly discourage everyone from staying at this hostel. There were bed bugs in the hostel – my husband, a doctor in the US, had over 80 bites on his shoulder from sleeping in the bed and found bed bugs upon lifting the sheets. We also found 2 roaches burrowed in the mattress seams, but at that point were much... More

To put it simply... AWFUL! This review really relates to the Hotel Veneto as they run ADRE as well where we had booked. We arrived in the evening to find a building with scaffolding around it and no sign, just push buttons on a door which nobody answered. After phoning the proprietor, we were escorted to their main hotel (Veneto)... More

Staying in San Lorenzo

Neighborhood Profile
San Lorenzo
San Lorenzo’s lively merchants shout out from behind stalls with an array of products in one of the most traditional neighborhoods in Florence. Different ethnic groups join together in the large outdoor market of San Lorenzo and in the Central Market, a vast multi-floored building. Visitors are bound to fall in love with this area and in particular, with its variety of food, especially those focusing on Florentine dishes as well as international selections. Nobody leaves San Lorenzo without a shopping bag in hand or with an empty stomach.
