This is a studio apartment but even for a studio it is very small. No elevator and air conditioning a little on the weak side. Great price that is hard to get around and is close to some great places to eat. The market is just around the corner so we did do some shopping for breakfast items. Having the option to eat in is nice.

Had a stressful trip and getting here after hours of frantic panic and tears was possibly the best outcome we could have wished for. Mario kindly waited up for us as we were a good five or six hours late after our intended room check-in and he was so friendly and gave us a lovely introduction to Florence in case we fancied a late night walk- we did and it was beautiful and so peaceful (even with the late- night partygoers). The room was clean, nicely decorated and the facilities more than adequate. It also remained at a pleasant temperature throughout the day and the night despite the heat outside. Staying at this hotel set us up for a wonderful week and a half in Italy and if you’re not fond of impersonal hotel rooms but appreciate your own HQ at a modest price then this is the place. My partner and I felt completely at home for the two nights and would certainly recommend and revisit! Thankyou :)

When we checked into the Florent the young gentleman was exceptionally helpful and friendly. We were gifted a bottle of wine, asked if we had any questions about the area and assisted with our bags, which was greatly appreciated. The service we received couldn't be faulted at this point. The hotel is in a good location, convenient but a little out of the way of the tourist chaos which is nice. The apartments are a good size and have a cute little rooftop outlook. At night they are nice and quiet and secure. The kitchenette is decently equipped however some of the items could do with a clean. One of our disappointments with the florent was the bed which isn't really a bed at all and the bedding which wasn't particularly clean. The bed consisted of two Day beds (the same as one used for the couch) put together with a mattress topper over it and I removed the duvet as soon as we were settled in the room as it was tired and unpleasant. I will add we asked for additional pillows (one pp was provided) and this was dealt with promptly. We also asked the air conditioner be looked at after our first night which was like being in a sauna which was also promptly fixed the next day. Cleanliness at The Florent was average to poor. I felt the need to wipe over surfaces again. I was surprised by this based on others reviews. Guests should also be aware this Hotel has no elevator and apartments are up six flights of narrow stairs or more which is tough going with luggage. Our biggest frustration with this 'Hotel' was the inconsistent reception hours. If you need things during your stay email is best. That is mostly fine however we weren't given any warning there wouldn't be anyone present for check out (it was during the stated hours) or given instructions what to do with the keys. We were not the only ones frustrated by this and waited outside the office with two other couples trying to work out what to do and how to order a cab in this part of town where it is very difficult to get them to pull over if you can even find one. After 20 minutes we had to leave as not to miss our train however I felt incredibly sorry for the lady waiting to see if she could get a late check out as her friend was very unwell. All in all I believe The Florent to offer solid three star equivalent self contained apartments without bells and whistles (or a comfy bed). There are few of the things you would look for when choosing a hotel as opposed to a holiday apartment rental but given the great begging and welcome we had a few simple improvements could have greatly changed our experience. Having stayed in other accommodation in Florence there is certainly better options out there.

We went to hotel Florent based on Trip Advisor reviews and we weren't disappointed! The location is deceptive as it may seem far from the city center but it allows an easy access to most important places, including the train station. We arrived one hour early and I called Mario, who quickly came to open for us even though it was before opening hours. Once we checked in the apartment we got was spotless and spatious. The kitchen was fully equipped to our surprise. Both Mario and Paulo have provided an oustanding service and made sure we were always comfortable while in Florence. if/ when we come to back to Florence, we'd look forward to stay at Florent again and we'd recommend to anyone.

I found this hotel that is reasonably priced compared to other hotels in the area. when we arrived, it took a little get around since we drove and the hotel is in the heart of the city. the street is very difficult to drive in if you are first time in Florence. but once we got here, the staffs, Mr. Mario, and another gentleman welcomed us with open arms. helped us with everything. we had a little clitch with our own traveling plan, but they did with the utmost professionalism and patience to helped us resolved our issues. the hotel is right next the boboli gardens, within walking distance to the Ponte Piazza, the leather districk and other attractions. the room is very comfortable, with everything ready for us. we would definitely come back again.

This is coming a bit late, but nonetheless, wanted to express how much we loved our stay in Florent. The place is more like a small little den of your own. Paulo ,the owner made it quite convenient for us(first time travelers to Florence) . he gave us maps ,helped us with taxi booking etc. The place is not quite far from major attractions. Has a living room ,kitchen(worked well as we were a toddler) and quite spacious bedroom. Would definitely recommend it!

It was nice to stretch out here after some smaller hotel rooms. We were glad we stayed in Oltranto. We didn't fix meals in the kitchen as we stayed only three nights in Florence. The staff is friendly and helpful, but make any local arrangements through them the day before, as they don't arrive until 1000 hours, and leave around 1800 (?). Avoid the ATM around the corner on Via Romana; the rate there was much worse than any other machine we used in Italy ($1.225 per euro vs an average of $1.13). We ate one dinner around the corner at the Trattoria Boboli and enjoyed it. There is a laundromat about 120 meters away on Via dei Serragli.

Paulo, the director and his staff member, Marwan went above and beyond. The service here is exceptional. Nothing was too difficult and they made us feel extremely welcome and let us know we could call anytime if we had any questions. Very knowledgeable about the local area and happy to share insider tips. Excellent restaurants, bakeries and organic fruit markets nearby. As the apartment is equipt with a kitchen, we were able to make basic meals too. A perfect to place to stay in Florence, minutes walk from Ponte Vecchio and the town centre.
