Wonderful b&b right at piazza repubblica. The views from the rooms are so nice and some feature balconies. Very clean and modern rooms. Staff is super friendly and helpful. Short walk to train station. Good for groups. We booked five rooms. Some have a loft. Good breakfast. Highly recommended.

I was a bit apprehensive at first walking up the two flights inside an industrial-looking stairwell, but once inside it was fabulous. Warmly greeted, and the rooms were modern and spacious. They even placed a little Christmas tree in my room (two weeks before Christmas), and complimentary bottles of water each day. The breakfast in the morning was also quite... More

This place was a total surprise! And in the best possible way. The Bed And Breakfast Repubblica was much more than JUST a bed and breakfast. It was a very, very nice hotel and newly renovated. Our room was large and spacious and VERY high in the ceiling, so high that there was a loft with a stairway up to... More

Fantastic warm welcome from Chiara, who offered great tips for where to find good restaurants, gelateria and what tourist traps to avoid. Our room (the suite that sleeps 4) had a view over the Piazza which was fantastic. Extremely clean, well-equipped room which, despite being right on the piazza was surprisingly quiet. No noise from other residents inside the hotel.... More

A lovely gem in Florence, booked here because of the recommendations on Tripadvisor and we were happy that we did. Lovely B&B in Piazza della Repubblica, great location, walking distance to Il Duomo and other beautiful Sights, close to restaurants and shops and about 10mins from train station. Staff very nice and helpful, Atsuko organised tickets for us for Galleria... More

We loved our three night stay here and would recommend it to anyone. Breakfast was a very nice European breakfast with prosciutto, cheese, croissants, rolls, cereal and yogurt. Assorted beverages and snacks including a Nespresso machine. A delicious way to start the day. The rooms were spotless and the bathroom, though a but small, was well appointed. The beds were... We chose this hotel because of it’s location and the reviews on this site. We always try to stay in the areas that are walking distance from most attractions, so obviously, a hotel at Piazza della Repubblica seemed like a great option. This was NOT a great option. The hotel has more of a youth hostel feel than a charming... More

We booked 4 of the 6 rooms on the recommendation of one of our party who had stayed there the previous year, and it turned out to be an excellent recommendation. The central location was excellent right next to a square with restaurants and opposite a rooftop terrace bar (on the top floor of a department store) where we spent... More

Great and comfortable B & B. Our hosts, Rocco and Chiara were wonderful. Lots of information and very friendly. Our room was so comfortable and overlooked the streets of Florence. So convenient to everything! We had a great stay.

Arriving in Florence, it was a little difficult to find our accommodation. Eventually after about 30 minutes of being on the wrong side of the Reppubblica Piaza, we found the BB - a word to the wise, if you go to the front side of the piazza, and face the back of the square, it will be the first door... Staying in Duomo

Neighborhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
