Soggiorno Venere is a really nice homely place well situated for all the sights of Florence. We had a great welcome after we eventually found it as there is only a small plaque on the wall outside. The owner was really friendly & helpful. There was a fridge & a microwave for you to use. The room was spacious &... More

I booked this accommodation thinking it was a hostel so I was a little put off that there was no shared kitchen. It's just a B (rather than a B&B) as there is no breakfast option available. There is a shared fridge, but nothing further. There are tea/coffee facilities in room. We bought some cereal from near by and ate... More

While this hotel does not have air conditioning the location makes up for the absence. Najat was very helpful and even provided water, juice, and cookies for our children. The area is a bit noisy but after touring all day you will have no difficulty falling asleep.

When we first arrived we were greeted by a warm and friendly lady who seems to be the owner. She got is settled in and even told us we could pay the next morning. The room was spacious and ours had a private bathroom. We didnt include breakfast with our stay but little instant coffees were provided in our room.... More

Very good choice if cost has to stay low, owner really friendly and almost all city attractions approachable in a few minutes. Bathroom was outside the room but did not really have any problem with that. Breakfast is the only con, at least for four men like us..

Cheap, extremely clean room, in a good location walking distance to station and all popular sites in Florence. Owner was very friendly and helpful. Ask for Room 1 or room 2, which are quite large and airy. We were given an unnumbered room between the other two rooms and it was very small with a tiny bathroom. Not what we... More

These rooms were large and airy and very clean. Each room has a TV, hot water pot, closet and clean decor by Ikea. Some rooms have bathrooms and some don't so request a room with a bathroom. If they don't have one available there is a bathroom in the hall that is very clean and we always had hot water.... More

Staying in San Lorenzo

Neighborhood Profile
San Lorenzo
San Lorenzo’s lively merchants shout out from behind stalls with an array of products in one of the most traditional neighborhoods in Florence. Different ethnic groups join together in the large outdoor market of San Lorenzo and in the Central Market, a vast multi-floored building. Visitors are bound to fall in love with this area and in particular, with its variety of food, especially those focusing on Florentine dishes as well as international selections. Nobody leaves San Lorenzo without a shopping bag in hand or with an empty stomach.
