We stayed here in July 2015 and had a great time in Florence. The hotel is situated in a very convenient part of Florence, near Duomo and Via Calzaiuoli. This makes it easy to stop by the hotel in the middle of the day to take a quick break amongst the sightseeing. We were traveling with our 10-month-old son, so... More

Beautiful room in the best spot right in the center of Florence. In the middle of the main street, close to everything, a room in an old apartment on the third floor quiet enough to get a rest. The only downside is the really very bad wifi, should be little trouble to solve this and remove the only irritation.

This location is perfect for a first time visit to Florence. You can walk everywhere. Often we would pop in to our room between visiting sights to rest a bit or to use the washroom. Very, very convenient. Stefano was very helpful upon checking in. He had lots of suggestions and advice for visiting sights around town. Our room had... More

Just steps away from all major sights, dining and shopping on the bustling streets of Florence, staying at the Residenza della Signoria gives you the best of both worlds, with the convenience and modern updates of a hotel but the quiet old world charm of one of Florence's many beautiful old buildings. With a spacious well decorated room and a... More

We had an excellent stay at B&B Residenza della Signoria. Both Stefano and the other staff member who helped us were very nice. We arrived during regular hours, so Stefano sat down with us when we first arrived. He took the time to show us a map - helping us get situated and making restaurant recommendations - which we appreciated.... More

After heavy sightseeing this is just the place but you must ask for Room 7. Thanks to other reviews on Trip Advisor we knew about Room 7. Bright, cool, quiet, spacious and with views of the Duomo out of one window and views of Palazzo Vechio out of the other! What a treat to be able to relax here after... More

Great little b&b in the heart of Florence! The rooms were great, clean and spacious and so was the bathroom. Wi-Fi worked great too. Everything is walking distance, lots of restaurants and shops near by. Highly recommended!

This is a great little hotel/b&b. Walking distance to all the famous attractions in Florence. Stefano learned it was our daughter's first birthday when we arrived, and delivered to us some complementary champagne and glasses for the adults to toast with. Clean and friendly.

Residenza della Signoria is in a terrific location at Via dei Tavolini 8, just off Via dei Calzaiuoli, about halfway between the Duomo and Piazza della Signoria & Palazzo Vecchio! It is in a perfect location for all the sightseeing you would want to do in Florence. The entrance to the B&B is directly across from Perche No, a gelato... More

This B & B, Residenza Della Signoria made our stay in Florence absolutely perfect. Stefano, the delightful host was so helpful in suggesting unusual and different places to visit and on our final evening, we discovered 2 glass flutes, a small bottle of sparkling wine and some delicious sweet treats as a farewell - placed on a tray in our... Staying in Duomo

Neighborhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
