Our family stayed a week with Donatella and Marta in August 2014. They are wonderful people, and we had a wonderful stay at the home. We give it a total and enthusiastic recommendation! My wife and I and our 12 year-old son stayed in the La Mansarda room, and our 14 year-old daughter stayed in the Mimosa room. Both rooms... More

We started our vacation in this little bed and breakfast in florence. It's right out of the city, we walked everywhere never needed a taxi. Donatello is very welcoming and helpful. We stayed in wisteria room which was roomy and very quiet. Bed was large, not very soft beds, but everywhere we stayed had hard beds, breakfast was wonderful, Donatello... More

I arrived at Monte Oliveto in the middle of a torrential February downpour, and must have looked like a terrible, wet and bedraggled sight. But Marta, the daughter of owner Donatella (who was away on holiday), made me feel instantly at home, conjuring up a comforting pot of tea and biscuits. And Marta's hospitality continued throughout the stay, with a... More

Monte Oliveto was the third stay in our little European Adventure! My fiance and I visited Florence for 2 nights in April 2014 Donatella our sweet little Italian hostess with the mostest and our fantastic "Wistaria" suite with its beautiful peaceful garden views was the "cherry on top" of one of our favorite stops on our trip! We did some... More

This was a perfect place to stay: comfortable, clean, away from the bustle of the city (especially in the height of the tourist season), yet close enough to visit everything by foot. Marta, Paolo, and Donatella were incredibly gracious and helpful hosts. And all of this on top of a lovely breakfast in a lovely setting, the garden terrace. I... More

After a month of traveling we ended our trip with a stay at Monte Oliveto. Thank you Donetella for such a lovely visit. Your English was great, your paintings are lovely and you made our time in Florence very special. All of your suggestions were perfect especially Groms for gelato and our dinner at Napoleoni. Also thanks for the bus... More

Highlight of our 8 nights in Italy; our 3 nights and this perfect B&B. Having left an incredibly fast-paced visit to Paris and Rome behind, this little gem was just what the doctor ordered. Donatella is such a wonderful, sweet host. We also had the pleasure to spend a little time with her husband and daughter as well...all so inviting;... More

Treated as one of the family , great host , good location in walking distance to all sights in Florence, Donatella and family are extremely helpful explaining what to see, were to eat and could not be more helpful. Rooms of a very high standard and nothing is of too much travel. Cannot recommend it enough, hope to return one... More

Awesome friendly hosts, great breakfasts, nice location on the other side of the Arno away from the crowds and comfortable accomodation. If you like to run there are some wonderful running areas virtually in the countryside behind this home and some beautiful views of Florence and Tuscany.
