Booking a hotel on the internet is like going out on a blind date-- it's a hit or miss experience. Alberghino B&B was a hit... 18th century building... high ceilings with frescoes... tastefully updated... very close to Santa Maria Novella station... and with a gracious owner, Letizia, who pays great attention to detail and makes you feel like you're her... more

We stayed at the Alberghino B&B in Florence a few weeks ago and discovered it quite by chance. Upon arrival, the Alberghino Bed & Breakfast is very unassuming with an anonymous facade that is opaque in its simplicity. In fact one would think you've arrived "home" or at best, visiting friends - which is what makes L'Alberghino so very special!... more
