1. Probably one good reason you should choose this place is the Hosts , they are quite helpful , warm & welcoming 2. The rooms are quite spacious , nicely decorated 3. The breakfast is kept in your rooms ( refilled everyday ) & is quite enough for any number of you , there is a coffee machine outside the... More

Accommodating hostess! Clean and beautifully appointed room. Lovely little touches everywhere. TV with English speaking news available. Of all the places we stayed in this was simply the best. Grazie Sig.ra Letizia

So, we turn up for what we thought was the day we had booked, only to find we had arrived one day early. No problem! Although the room we had booked was unavaiable, there was another, smaller... we were a little worried, as there were 3 of us, but said yes, left our bags and went shopping! When we returned,... We stayed at the Alberghino during our 4 day trip to Florence. Finding the B&B took a bit long, as it's located in a back alley, but our host, Letizia was very hospitable and helpful. She gave us very good suggestions for our stay in Florence, and helped us out with our luggage. The room in the B&B was extremely... More

We loved staying at Alberghino B&B. The accommodation is very Florentine, and Letizia was a wonderful host. Only a short walk to all the sights of Florence, very clean and quiet we would happily come back to stay here again.

I stayed for four nights at this B and B in October 2013. The hostess, Letizia was lovely. She spent upwards of a half an hour with me on my arrival reviewing the map of Florence, places of interest and giving me restaurant recommendations. I actually emailed her 2 weeks prior to my arrival asking about making gallery reservations and... More

We stayed here for two nights and loved the place. Nice and quiet, beautiful and clean rooms. Letizia is a very friendly and warm host and will show you on the map, places to see and places to eat. While it is centrally located very close to the railway station, the neighbourhood was very deserted post 8 PM. We would... More

We stayed here during a family wedding and were so grateful to have this quiet, sweet room with all its renaissance inspiration. Letizia was the best host we could ask for and we loved chatting with her. We'll definitely be back!!

Wonderfully located within the city-center and only 2 blocks fro the railway station, it offers high-rooms, elegantly forunished at a very competitive price. In my opionion, the best place all over Florence! P. Pismataro

We were travelling in a large group and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Florence thanks to Letizia! She was so lovely and helpful and easy going! The rooms were very comfortable and beautiful. Breakfast is do it your self but there is plenty of choice. I would highly recommend this bed and breakfast for your stay.

Staying in Santa Maria Novella

Neighborhood Profile
Santa Maria Novella
Santa Maria Novella train station welcomes the majority of the people arriving in Florence, which might explain the hectic pace. Commuters and tourists come across the constant hustle and bustle of the station before exiting, taking a few steps and stopping amazed in Piazza di Santa Maria Novella. It is impossible not to admire the the square, housing one of the most charming basilicas in Florence. The area has plenty of local spots to taste Tuscan specialties, but don’t stop in the main streets alone; the narrower side streets always ensure satisfaction. The huge Parco Delle Cascine provides a solution to the need for a green area as well as a historic welcome in the form of a bronze statue of King Vittorio Emanuele II riding a horse.
