This hostel is completely fine, fairly new and even has a pool area. Really good location, its a 10 minute walk to the train station and 10 minutes to the centre. There was also a supermarket right next to the hostel. The biggest problem is that there were hundreds of people staying at the hostel but usually only two people... More

Loved this hostel! The bar was great, the pool was small but still great for a swim. The food at the restaurant was brilliant! The rooms were nice too and the wifi was free which was good! The location of this hostel is brilliant! It's right in the centre of Florence, a 10 minute walk to the Duomo and the... More

In the center of Florence, 5-7 min from the Duomo, this youth hostel is more an hotel than anything else. The rooms are spacious, clean and really nice and modern. The staff is cool and the amenities you have are crazy! Bar, restaurant, terrace, pool (thought it is quite small and cold),

This hostel is fabulous and I have recommended this to alot of people I have met on my travels. This is the perfect place to stay during a hot summer in Italy as there is a fabulous pool and waterfall to cool off in after a long day of exploring. I met some interesting people and made some incredible friends... More

This hostel is amazing! We are currently staying here for 2 nights in one of the standard private double rooms with ensuite. While the room isnt huge, there is enough room for 2 people travelling with a considerable amount of luggage. The bathroom and bedroom are very clean and comfortable. There are two buildings, with places like the restaurant, laundry,... More

I'll start with the negatives because there aren't a lot of them. The cupboard in the room is in the worst place possible (in the middle on the wall), we both kept bumping into it and banging our heads in the corners/edges. We couldn't have used it as it was full (a spare duvet + pillows were in it). The... More

We stayed here for 5 nights in an 6 person dorm and the size of the room was perfect for us. Noise was never an issue and we were on the ground floor, so this surprised (and pleased us) greatly. Plus Florence was always clean and the stay we had there was pleasant, the staff were good to us and... More

Recently stayed here for a couple of nights in a Private Room. The room itself was like a hotel nice and clean and modern just very small. I liked the feel of the hostel and that there was a restaurant, bar, pool, gym and laundry available. 15 mins walk from main sights everything is reachable on foot. Only negatives were... More

I really enjoyed my stay at Plus Florence! The air conditioning in the room was spotty and the room itself was extremely small for four people but the price was unbeatable! I enjoyed the chance to do laundry and to hang out on the terrace with a bar and meet new people! This hostel is just a 15 minute walk... More

The rooms have very thin walls so that you can hear all noises outside and movements of other guests all around at all hours of the night. The atmosphere was not very good comparing to other hostels I've stayed at. Staff was okay and was able to fix the a/c pretty quickly after it broke but did not offer much... More

Staying in San Lorenzo

Neighborhood Profile
San Lorenzo
San Lorenzo’s lively merchants shout out from behind stalls with an array of products in one of the most traditional neighborhoods in Florence. Different ethnic groups join together in the large outdoor market of San Lorenzo and in the Central Market, a vast multi-floored building. Visitors are bound to fall in love with this area and in particular, with its variety of food, especially those focusing on Florentine dishes as well as international selections. Nobody leaves San Lorenzo without a shopping bag in hand or with an empty stomach.
