Beautifully styled room, with all the amenities you could hope for. The room is even serviced twice a day, which is highly unusual for B&B type accommodation. The location is absolutely perfect, just a stone’s throw from the Duomo and the main shopping areas.
The host Alessandria was very welcoming and most helpful. Well worth having a meal in the... More

The bedroom and bathroom were clean and very well decorated. Amenities were provided, along with both natural and frizzante water. You walk outside and see the Duomo. The room was cleaned each day and fresh towels were provided. Many good restaurants in the area, including next door. It was an easy 15 minute walk from Santa Novella train station.

Absolutely perfect location in Florence. Steps from all the major sights, great restaurant next door operated by the same owners - who take excellent care of their guests and property. The property itself is tucked away on a side street, steps away from the Duomo. There's only 2-3 rooms, so it's always quiet. The rooms are decorated beautifully, bigger than... More

This B and B is in the perfect location only a matter of steps from the cathedral and bell tower. We stayed in the Italian suite really modern, clean and a fantastic bathroom. The owner was waiting for us to arrive after emailing her our arrival time. Excellent service at a great price. Perfect place to stay in Florence!!

My wife and I stayed here for two nights. On arrival we found out that check in finished at 3.30pm and were given a lot of attitude about turning up at 6pm after having to wait ten minutes in the street, making several phone calls and then waiting another ten minutes for someone to turn up to let us in.... Mr Timagh2, I'm sorry, but the facts were not reported properly. But analyse every single point: -Our check in time is from 11 am to 3.30 pm and the guest that plan to arrive after that time have to advise us with due advance. All this information is clearly written on Expedia and on each other its website partner. As... More

Just got back from spending a few days at Le Stanze di Caterina. The room was beautifully designed with careful thought for guests' every need. The owner, Alessandra was so helpful and wanting to make our experience of Florence special. It is the ideal choice for a peaceful and tranquil stay whilst being perfectly situated in the heart of the... More

I swear that is a good place. Located right in front of the Duomo, and also it was easy to find. The hotel rooms are only two. Two rooms and the atmosphere is completely different. I stayed in the Italian room feel I've heard some really unique. Old building, but clean and the management was good. Also on the ground... More

Very interesting conceot for the spanish room. A bit dark though it has a window and a door leading to a big veranda but not very well kept. Very poor breakfast, used to eat outside unless you are not a breakfast lover and you are satisfied with a yogurt, marmelade, butter, black nescafe, tea and a small muffin long life,... More

Excellent location, you could not be any closer to the action. The rooms here are excellently appointed, spotless and the in room kitchenette is a fantastic addition. You would be hard pressed to find a better option, if ever returning to Florence I will be staying here again.

Room is beautiful and the location ideal for moving around the city. Nothing is too far away and when it gets too hot, you can just saunter back to your air conditioned room, cool off and go out again. Alessandra made us feel very welcome. English was spoken, but we had a great time learning Italian too. The food in... More

Staying in Duomo

Neighborhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
