Before I start my review, I feel I should note that I have travelled extensively around Europe!..and always travelled on a budget , including hostels, so feel that I know what to expect when booking 'basic/ budget accommodation! This b&b had great reviews , which prompted me to book it!..First of all, it was sooo difficult to find! ( I... More

Everything about this place is just perfect. The location is fantastic, with lots of landmarks, restaurants, bars and shops around including a supermarket. The rooms are very neat, cozy and warm enough during chilly winter nights, and they are equipped with everything one might need. And if you still need something else, you can be sure that the staff will... More

Prefacing with I NEVER review places unless they deserved accolades. Am making an exception... The experience started off poorly with the lack of communication from Le Seggiole!! Not only was Claudia, the person in charge of meeting me at the b&b, 30 minutes late to meet me after sending her a specific email about my arrival time, She blamed her... More

We stayed here in June 2014. Claudia welcomes us on arrival and she was just lovely! Extremely helpful and knowledgeable of the city and was able to recommend some great places to eat. The place itself is right in the middle of the city close to everything and some great restaurants! Breakfast was also included which you have at the... More

The location is really central and cool because its in an authentic old building, but if yoy have a lot of luggage you will not be too happy about the lack of elevator... well, thats the price you pay for historical logging :) The host is very sweet and helpful (speaks Russian as well). The B&B offers free wi-fi and... More

The hotel location is so good. Only about 15 minutes walk from the station and 5 minutes from Duomo. Claudia who I think owns the place is so nice and very helpful. Also, it has been very helpful for us to leave our luggages there ( for a cheap cost) when we checked out while we travelled around the place.... More

Staying in Duomo

Neighborhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
