I would like to say thank you to the staff for my pleasant stay in Florence. The lady who greeted me on entrance was very helpful. The room was clean, and nice and roomy. The weather in Florence on my stay (late July '15), but the room was not too hot. (My advice would be sleep outside of the covers... More

My partner and I stayed (luckily) just for one night in B&B Piazza del Duomo, the location is perfect. It is walking distance from all attractions in Florence which was a big selling point for us, the Duomo (Cathedral) is a stone’s throw away, on the same street and accessible in about 50 paces. However the quality of sleep was... More

Dear Charlin 701 we are sorry for the hot night ....this year we had the hottest days of the last 20 years in Florence!!! we are sorry ...we can not do anything against these exceptional events! we have only fan into the room and we have not conditioned air, we know that , in cases like this would be crucial... The breakfast was not generous but the service was very good. Very close to the duomo and a good location to start a visit in Florence by foot. It's a bit noisy if you let the window open, but nothing that trouble our sleep. Very safe place too.

A very central bed and breakfast. Very convenient for nice wakls in the city. Altough cheap, i think that it should be cheaper. Small rooms, only basic equiped and very noisy. I did not feel safe during my stay, Very old building, dark, nobody around, no reception....

What a location! Right next to the Duomo, within walking distance to pretty much every major sight and lovely owners! Cannot reccomend staying here highly enough. Our room had an external bathroom, but it was RIGHT next to our room door, and in no way did we feel as though this was an issue, if it is potentially an iddue... More

This place is in a great location - view of the Duomo from the window - and at a really good price. But that's about it.... The staff when i checked in were really strange - she offered no help with my heavy bag (even though they have a lift, they wouldn't send it down for me) - she just... More

Good value for money because the location is great, you can see the duomo from the bedroom window (room3). The room was clean and spacious. Bathroom was also clean, the only downside was the shower curtain sticking to you all the time when showering! We were also allowed to leave our luggage there after check out. The breakfast is pitiful,... More

Staying in Duomo

Neighborhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
