We have just returned from a lovely holiday at L'Ippocastano. Apartments are basic but well furnished and very clean. The grounds and pool are well maintained, very relaxing. The immediate area is quite modern and lacks atmosphere but five minutes drive away is the beautiful hill top town of Cortona with a wide variety of restaurants and shops. Local transport... More

My husband and 3 children have just returned from a relaxing 2 weeks at L'Ippocastano staying in the 2 bedroom Gli Archi. The apartment was clean and spacious and it was great having 2 bathrooms. The kitchen facilities are a little basic in that there is only a hob and a microwave, we were aware of this before we booked... More

This is my 7th stay at Ippocastano since 2004. We - or members of our group - have stayed in almost every apartment. They are all quite charming and comfortable. The location and proximity to the train station and Cortona is superb. We missed Maria Grazia this year, but Massimo is such a great person and was very helpful. His... More

I and my family (6 of us in total) had a wonderful 8 days in the Belvedere flat of the Villa degli Etruschi (I think it was called) this July. Massimo Cipoleschi was a very helpful and kind host to us, picking us up at the local train station and generally being very accomodating to our needs and wishes. The... More

My husband and I and our two teenage daughters enjoyed a week long stay at L'Ippocastano. We stayed in the two bedroom "Girasole" (Sunflower), a rustic-styled apartment and we felt like we had a delightful taste of Tuscany. We loved... ...the clean and spacious rooms -- each room having comfortable beds and a window with a wonderful view of Cortona... More

Nice place. Very good location. Nice pool and clean rooms. No wi-fi, no air condition, but when you keep windows closed, it's ok. Maria and Massimo were very helpful and kind. There is lot of building sites and they made noise and neighbors dogs barked during night times. We enjoyed our holiday anyway.

We have just returned from a week long stay at L'Ippocastano where we stayed in a 2 bedroom ground floor apartment. As with most Italian apartments we have stayed in, it was pleasantly rustic; clean, with comfy beds and it had everything we needed. Although there was no oven (which we knew about) I was able to cook several meals,... More

Our whole stay was very nice! We stayed for 10 nights and only enjoyed our stay. Massimo was very helpful and friendly and the kids loved him;) Also Maria was always available by phone if needed. Some updating with the kitchen equipments would be ok, but it really did not bother us. Also changing of linen would be needed if... More

It was a very clean apartment. Advise to speak a little more Italian than in larger cities. We were here for 4 days. No one came to give clean towels even though the note in washroom stated if you leave towels on floor means you need clean ones. There is a washing machine on site, but only took tokens. Was... More
