A picture tells a thousand stories and Rocca di Pierle was exactly that and more. From the moment we arrived at the beautiful "Villa" until we left, Andrea was the perfect host. He made sure our stay was a memorable one. The "Villa" is so beautiful and our apartment was perfectly equipped with everything in it to make our stay... More

There's a reason that this place is rated a 5 on almost every review. For a relaxing time in the Italian countryside in the Tuscan countryside, this is the place. Nestled back in the hils of Pierle, Agritourismo Rocca di Pierle was the perfect place for our family to base ourselves for exploration. We managed in one week to visit... More

We stayed in La Loggia for one week after Christmas & it was exactly how we dreamed of starting the new year. We were looking for a beautiful, yet peaceful setting to rejuvinate from the stresses of New York City & we undoubtedly found it here. The location of Rocca Di Pierle is quite nice, not too far from the... More

the web site depicts a true picture of the property(and then some)but the real thing is even more spectacular.Andrea and his wife are great hosts in every way.Although a 2hour trip south of Florence there is an endless variety of day trips.Views of the valley are breathtaking.Great value for money.Highly recommend.

My Husband & I recently stayed at Rocca Di Pierle for 5 nights during our Honeymoon. It was a perfect getaway from a busy world. The property is beautiful with amazing views from your bedroom window. The owner Andrea was lovely, very welcoming and extremely helpful - his wife even made us a yummy cake for our stay. Whilst not... More

My husband and I recently returned from 2 weeks in Italy and certainly a memory we will carry with us forever is our three-night stay at Agriturismo Rocca di Pierle. We lead a very hectic life in the States between two careers, long commutes and weekends filled with both work and "must do's". The opportunity to replace the synthetic existence... More

Everything about agriturismo Rocca di Pierle is great. Starting with the warm welcome of the owner Andrea (with a tour of the site and a welcome homemade cake waiting for us in the unit). The villa was just gorgeous, the landscaping was fabulous (flowers and rosemary shrubs, lavander, roses, olive trees, etc); the view was amazing (the 13th century castle,... More

This was a fabulous holiday. The property and immediate surroundings are as beautiful, if not more so, than the photographs on the web-site suggest. The views from bedroom (and bathroom!) were breath-taking, especially when the mist blanketed Mercatele in the early morning and we were high on the hill in the sun-shine. Clean and beautifully furnished. Andrea, the owner of... More

A sunny, peaceful corner on the border between Tuscany and Umbria, with the advantages of both : cultural visits & history, hills, valleys forests and lakes (biking, hiking), local cuisine and wines and, especially, a friendly Italian welcome, in the villages of Mercatale and Lisciano and most of all by Andrea and Stefano, without whom our stay would have been... We stayed in the Valle apartment for 1 week - the apartment was very clean, comfortable & well appointed with homely furnishings. Andrea was an excellent host - he speaks perfect English & was very helpful in reccomending local restaurants (also making bookings) & activities. The village of Pierle (population 14!) is a stunning location - quiet & peaceful high... More
