It was quaint, authentic (alittle too much so to be totally comfortable) and remote. Very pleasant staff but no information was offered unless you asked. Borgo di Vagli is beautiful and the staff is wonderful in terms of availability, friendliness, helpfulness and overall hospitality. The views are spectacular! It’s been nearly two months since we returned from Italy but pleasant thoughts of Borgo di Vagli still remain. In August 2004, I spent 7 nights in unit #17 - Romantique, which was a studio unit detached from all the other buildings on the edge of this 13th refurbished hamlet. The Hamlet is isolated (a 2 kilometre drive on a unpaved road, which undulates and we were told about prior to arrival).
