Always on hand to help. Beautiful clean room in renovated traditional local building. Really enjoyed the garden for morning breakfast. The hotel allowed us to use their books, maps for travel around Tuscany. It's really close to the train station for trips to Florence or Rome. Very close also to Cortona. We experienced positive, friendly and welcoming atmosphere throughout our... More

This is a beautful bed and breakfast, full of authenic character and Tuscan charm. The garden is lovely with outdoor tables to enjoy your meals al fresco. The owner and her staff were fantastic - so helpful and friendly - even when we mistakenly wandered into the owner's private lounge and made ourselves at home! If you are visiting Cortona,... More

A lovely B&B at the foot of Cortona. Claudia is a knowledgeable and charming hostess who also happens to be wonderful cook, If she offers dinner, which she did the afternoon we arrived, don't pass it up! Wonderful breakfasts with fresh cakes, a great jumping off spot for exploring both Tuscany and Umbria, then coming back to relax in the... More

Il sole del Sodo is a beautiful bed and breakfast. The grounds are beautiful, the entrance and the garden seating area and the pool/poolside were really very peaceful and quiet, but also still very close to town and also close to the main road which meant driving in was relatively easy. There is parking provided behind the property in some... More

My Wife and I went to Tuscany for 7 nights and booked no accommodation after the first night. Went to the tourist Office in Cortona and they directed us to Il sole Del Sodo. We took an apartment next to the B&B of which there are 5 or 6 and we were delighted with the accommodation. Il Sole Del Sodo... More

We stayed at Il Sole del Sodo during our honeymoon after a recommendation from a friend and we were thrilled to have been so lucky. The B&B was really wonderful, charming, rustic, comfortable, and quiet. Our room had a comfortable front sitting room, small kitchenette and modern bathroom. The bed was great and we slept like rocks after long days... More

We stayed here for two nights in the apartment that looked out onto the pool. The apartment had a clean and modern bathroom, a bedroom with Italian TV , an area to hang clothes ,and a small kitchen/ dining /living room. The sofa converted to make an extra double bed. As you would expect for the area, the style of... More

We stayed for 3 nights in May in a small room with a balcony overlooking the courtyard. The room was OK but had no comfortable place to sit. Since the weather was uncharacteristically cold and rainy for May in Italy, we spent more time in the room than we normally would have, so the lack of comfort was a problem.... More
