Great location just off the main drag in Cortona, perfect for exploring this amazing hilltop town. Close enough to the parking as long as the escalators are working. Antonella and Pasquale offer a great service and are always just around the corner if you need anything. Breakfast was great and just enough. The rooms are of a size to expect... More

This was no ordinary B&B, we were treated like family. Perfectly located and super clean, Vicolo della Scalla was by far the best stay during our five week trip through Europe. Everything from our hosts, Antonella and Pasquale, through to the cooking classes was amazing. We strongly recommend taking up Antonella's cooking class. Not only is she an AMAZING cook,... More

We stayed at Vicolo for a week with friends. Antonella and Pasquale were extremely helpful and accommodating. Breakfasts were divine. Our rooms were clean, quiet and comfortable, located above a picturesque alley off Cortona's main street, Via Nazionale. We will definitely be back!

On our 2 week tour of Italy, this was our favorite place to stay. Our hosts were friendly, gave us a great map and directions and provided a WONDERFUL recommendation for dinner (AD Bracceria)! The B&B was clean, homey and had a great, quiet location. Antonella made fresh pastries for a great breakfast. We plan on returning to Cortona and... More

We decided to visit Cortona on a whim after being in a big city like Rome. The humidity and the hustle and bustle of Rome made us look for some peace and quiet. We found this quaint little B&B on tripadvisor and saw the great reviews. First the positives: -"Cortona" is a great place to visit. If you've done your... More

We had a great stay! Clean, neat and not cluttered. Beautiful antique furniture and our room overlooked the rooftops of Cortona which we enjoyed. The breakfast was special with a homemade breakfast cake. The rooms are not very sound proof, but the central location of this B&B makes up for it.

We only spent 2 nights here but it was perfect for our needs. A cute little place and perfectly positioned to the main 'strip'. Antonella's cakes and biscuits really are to die for and both her and Pasquale are great hosts; friendly, helpful and approachable. The rooms are quite small but have everything you need (although a shelf in the... More

My husband and I are on our way from Cortona to Sorrento and I am already missing Antonella's cakes and biscuits. I've nearly gone through my stash I took with me on the train. We stayed at this lovely B&B for 5 nights and could not recommend this gem of a place highly enough to other travellers. Antonella's breakfasts and... More

Three of us enjoyed two nights at Antonella's Vicolo della Scala in Cortona. It was quite fun to find the B&B because the "street" where it is located is actually a set of stone steps! Antonella was a very welcoming and accommodating hostess. We were already tired of "stone steps" by the time we got there, and she offered us... More

My wife and I spent two nights at the BB Vicolo della Scala in Cortona in early April. Anyone who visits Cortona needs to realize that the only really flat, level streets run parallel to the hill upon which the city sits. All of the streets that intersect the parallel streets are fairly steep hills with a lot of steps... More
