Stayed in this delightful small hotel (27 bedrooms) I had a single room which was compact but lovely. I was very impressed by the staff from the girls at the front desk down to the cleaning staff, they were friendly, courteous and very helpful. The breakfast included in the price was something else, there were hot dishes not your average scrambled... More

We were a party of six and booked 3 double rooms at this beautiful hotel for the beginning of July. On arrival we were warmly greeted by two lovely ladies who were so pleasant and friendly throughout our stay as were all the staff. The room was spotless, so beautifully decorated and furnished plus we had a wonderful view from... More

I stopped in Cortona for a one night stay with my 20 yr old daughter as we toured Italy and cannot say enough about this hotel! We wished we could have spent more time as the hotel was wonderful and the staff the nicest and most helpful of all we met in Italy! We had to catch a very early... More

This boutique hotel should not be missed. We had a deluxe room that was beautiful and comfy. Nice big bathroom which is unusual for Europe. So many nice touches at the hotel! The breakfast is absolutely amazing, the lite bites from 7-8 PM and the evening Vinsanto w biscotti's. And then there is the staff! So helpful and fun. They... More

Villa Marsili in Cortona is located in the quaintest and one of the oldest hill towns in Tuscany. Minutes from the train station and wonderful day trips to Rome and Florence. The hotel is a creative 2001 restoration of an ancient jewel of a building and a charming, remarkably comfortable, unique blend of old and new. An attentive staff that... More

I have traveled Italy many times over 45 years. Villa Marsili is a highlight of any visit to Italy and Cortona. The staff are impeccable. Breakfast is a feast that must be seen--a private chef to the Villa prepares fresh specialties every day. The evening at 7:00 requires a menu to describe the fabulous delicacies. The rooms are immaculate and... More

My wife and I stayed at the Villa Marsili for several days in April 2015 and we were treated like royalty. The staff helped us in so many ways; they spoke Italian to us so that we could practice; they gave us maps to various Tuscan locations; they let us park in fort of the hotel every day; they made... We took a two day break in Cortona between Rome and Florence and the best part of our relaxing stopover was Villa Marsilli! Cortona is well traveled by English-speaking tourists and shopping and restaurants are geared towards us as a group. A quick note: don't come to Cortona without a car. The town is limited in its variety, but is... More

We stayed here for only 3 nights as part of our holiday and we definitely wished we could have stayed longer. The hotel is beautiful and is manned by a team of lovely ladies who are happy, super friendly and helpful. Joanna at the front desk is exceptionally adept at putting all guests at ease and can suggest beautiful trips... More
