All the staff here are amazing. I have never before stayed at a hotel where everyone, and I mean everyone, was so helpful . Nothing was too much trouble. The free snacks in the evening and welcome back sweets and dessert wine in the evenings were a really nice touch. Why 4/5? Just a couple of things…. the room we... More

We have just spent 3 fantastic nights at the Hotel Villa Marsili. We had not made a booking but from the moment we entered the reception area we were made to feel very special guests by the beautifully turned out staff and the ever attentive Manager Maria. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Breakfasts have to be seen to... More

I'm writing this review while sitting in the courtyard of the hotel looking out on the valley below. This was our first trip to Cortona and we picked this place based on the Tripadvisor reviews. We are very happy we did. The staff here is the best in Italy that we have come across by far. They are very willing... More

This hotel is located 300 meters from the main entrance of the town of Cortona. Very well located to visit Cortona and its surroudings, including Sienna which is only 20 minutes away by car. We stayed at this hotel 2 nights as a last minute check in. We LOVED the staff. Every single one made us feel very welcomed. They... More

Everything you could wish for....except a pool...but who noticed! Great location, warm welcome (even though we arrived without reservation), tourist info handed out, very clean & quaint, good breakfast selection incl. with room, free mini-bar, grand panoramic view in front of hotel, nice terrace outside, free parking close-by, safe walking distance to pedestrian historic center... i.e. Piazza Garibaldi, Piazza della... My wife, my 10 year old daughter and I traveled over two months across Italy, Spain and France. It was our first trip to Europe. A good friend of us recommended Cortona as the city to stay in Tuscany. I found the Villa Marsili Hotel searching in the Internet. We arrived there following ten frantic days in central and southern... More

My husband and I stayed here for a few days between visiting Rome and Florence and it was the perfect re-boot to keep us going. The staff is wonderful and the hotel is quite a value for the price. I would not recommend someone who has trouble with any disabilities stay here as it is a fair walk up a... More

After 17 days in Italy, my wife and I have been asked what our favorite city was. There is not just one, they were all special, but Cortona comes close. It is charming, great walking, great restaurants, and within a couple of hours of other hill towns. Our experience was enhanced by our stay at Villa Marsili, the best accommodations... More

My husband and I traveled around Tuscany from June 20 – 28, 2014. Villa Marsili was our third stop. Stay: Nights of June 26, and 27, 2014 My husband and I liked this hotel and really enjoyed the town of Cortona. Of all the towns we visited, I think I liked Cortona the most. It is charming!
