I've recently been a guest in this beutiful ex-convent. Let me tell you that as an hotel owner I pay good attention to all details and I can honestly say that I received the best welcome ever. The lady at the Reception as been exquisite, she gave us all information needed, she gave us the option of two rooms to choose... It is the people who make a journey special and such is the case at Villa Marsilli. We travelled from far away to be greeted with such warmth and hospitality that has made it a very special experience. Yes, we have a glorious view from our specious room which is impeccably clean and maintained each day. But it is the... More

Stayed here for four nights in April 2012 while using Cortona as a a base for touring the area. This is a very good hotel. There are many positives (views, breakfast, lots of thoughtful extra touches, charming staff), all covered fully and accurately by other reviewers. On the downside - and there is not much - the rooms we saw... More

Our first stay in Tuscany could not got off to a better start. The views from the hotel are breathtaking! The bedrooms are extremely comfortable. The lounge / reception room are full of charm with comfortable chairs. At 7pm complementary snacks are served with a choice of fine tuscan wines which can be purchased by the glass or bottle at... We stayed at the Villa Marsilli in late March, originally for two nights, but due to the exceptional service and warmth of the staff and the thoughtful accoutrements that are just part of the Villa Marsilli experience, couldn't resist doubling our stay and being immersed in this delightful hotel and its charms for four days instead! What a treat! The... More

This hotel has spectacular views, if you request a room with a view. We are talking about 1700 ft above the ground, over-looking Tuscany views. This was the best part of the room. The rest of the room was a bit sub-par for such a highly-rated hotel. Yes, the room was charming, but it wasn't anything special, especially the bathrooms.... More

Can't say enough good things about our stay at Villa Marsili. We were warmly greeted by Lulia upon our arrival. She was so very friendly and helpful with excellent restaurant recommendation, directions, and general information, made us feel like family. We were celebrating our 30th anniversary so we splurged and stayed in their suite. What a treat! The suite was... More

We stayed two nights here and found the reception very helpful and charming. The room was small but prettily decorated and comfortable. Breakfast was very good and the service prompt. The wifi worked (a rarity in Italy). Cortona is a romantic village, and this hotel is one we'd definitely stay in again. More

This hotel is a gem tucked a few steps away from the main shopping area and tourist attractions of the historic town of Cortona. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and airy with pretty furnishings. The wifi worked well, plenty of hot water and a nice closet for storage. They had a really good... More
