Staying in the ancient town of Cortona Tuscany was a dream come true. Having that dream completed by staying at the amazing Hotel San Michele in what is known as the honeymoon suite up the steep steep stairs, was truly an experience I will remember for a lifetime. Romantic, fantastic service, glorious food. A must do when in Italy. We... More

Really a worthwhile and agreeable hotel to stay at. Had adjoining rooms looking out to the street. Pleasant staff breakfast good. Recommendable. Parking can be a problem, outside city walls is a possibility however, be patient!

This is the second time we have stayed in this hotel. The first was as a couple and now as a couple with a child. Both times were excellent and both times in room 214. It's a great room with a spacious terrace overlooking the roofs of corona and across to the mountains and lake trasimeno. A wonderful place to... More

The staff of this hotel were excellent. We were initially given a room next to the elevator, which we realized very quickly was going to be very noisy, as you could hear other guests rolling luggage and talking. I went downstairs and talked to Matteo, who immediately and without a second of hesitation, contacted the bellman, Sajid, and we switched... More

Stayed in this hotel while attending a friend's wedding. The hospitality of this hotel is excellent. Staff were very friendly and helpful, we were checked in quickly and shown to the room. This hotel was a bit like a maze for first time visitor like me. Room was cozy, spacious and comfortable; bathroom was clean and had basic amenities. Breakfast... More

This hotel understands hospitality. I was given an extra large room with a magnificent view of the countryside. As a solo traveler I really appreciate this. The bathroom was marvelous with a large tub on a pedestal. I took a relaxing bath with soothing bath salts and olive oil soap, all products plus cozy slippers, provided by the hotel. It... More

The parlor rooms and balconies in this hotel are large and full of grandeur. We have stayed at this hotel four times (four different years). Apparently it is an old convent. The rooms are unique (each one is different) and have windows that open to incredible views of the Tuscan hills. The air-conditioning works well. Our room had a huge... More

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights the beginning of July, in the lovely walled town of Cortona. Upon arrival we were greeted and checked in quickly, the car parked in the garage and shown to our room. The room itself was very rustic, comfortable bed and lovely bathroom. We were surprised how quiet it was. There was no... More

We stayed here for two nights in June arriving after a very long flight and a drive from Rome. Approaching the hotel on the narrow Cortona streets was really exciting, and we couldn't believe that the hotel was able to park our car, just across the street. What an introduction to Italy. Our room, on the top floor, with the... More
