We drove up the drive of cyprus trees to the most magical location. The villa looked over green tree covered hills and apart from other villlas a few yards away, there were no other houses or roads to be seen from the terrace. Loved the large rooms and found it so lovely with drinks ,canapes and a very classy buffet and... More

Loved everything about his place. The staff is wonderfully friendly. The property is obviously a labour of love. The entire site is beautiful. Every room is different, has its own character, and feels like home. We had a stunning view of the pool and hills behind. The staff is fantastic. Not old-school formal service, mind you, but really friendly and... More

We spent two weeks in Italy in May 2012 and of all the places we stayed, Villa di Piazzano was the nicest. We arrived midday and immediately had our cooking class with the on site chef, Gabrielle. Our two hours with her were one of the highlights of our entire trip and the meal she prepared for us was probably... More

I recently spent several days at this beautifully refurbished villa in an idyllic setting outside Cortona. The room was spacious and quiet, and the staff was very attentive and helpful. The hotel serves a bountiful buffet breakfast that came with the room. Be sure to have at least one dinner in their restaurant - their cuisine was fresh and delicious.... More

It is very rewarding for us to learn that all aspects of your stay at the Villa di Piazzano were appreciated. It is sometimes more difficult to reply to a positive comment as one risks becoming repetitive. Needless to say, we analyse all our comments whether they be positive or negative as it is an important marker for us to... More

I spent two days at the hotel recently, while attending a family wedding in Cortona. Superb setting, absolutely perfect for relaxation. The room (one of the basic ones) on the top floor was lovely also; a lot of character and would be nice and cool on a hot summer day. Staff very helpful and friendly in everything, including ordering a... More

Thank you for your nice comments, but above all, for assisting us in improving our services. You made a good point and we will see to it that the coffee is always plentiful, even towards the closing of the breakfast. As for your comment on the menu, you are also right. The food is enjoyable but not fancy. This is... More

What a nice description of your experience. Epicurus believed that the real meaning of life revolved around attaining the maximum state of pleasure. We are glad that we were able, in some way, to convey to you a certain sense of pleasure during your short stay at Villa di Piazzano. Alessandra Wimpole Owner-Manager Villa di Piazzano More

A few days ago a young good looking group from Turkey rode up our cypress tree road on their Harley Davidsons. It is was such a nice site on a warm Tuscan afternoon! Not only did they liven our hotel with their cheer and warmth, presented me with a gift from their home town, Izmir, but now also leave us... More

We were in Italy for about two weeks and spent our nights at four different 4 star hotels. The Villa was our favorite. It is located about 5 miles outside Cortona in a rural setting. After driving through a long narrow road lined with cypress, we arrived at the Villa which was restored in the mid 1990’s. We were made... More

This was my 4th visit to the magestic Villa di Piazzano and it gets better each time I stay here. The staff is top notch, the food divine, the setting bucolic and elegant, and a true value for your vacation dollars (or euros). Bravi Alessandra, Adriana, Damiano!

Thank you for sharing your experience each time you stay with us. You have visited so many times, I feel we are more friends than anything else. It makes me smile to think that in that distant November 2002, when you first came to visit, we were such a small operation and had no guests staying with us. We have... More
